You can remove the image by going to the single.php file and removing where it says <?php the_post_thumbnail(); ?>. Now, it might look a little different because of some modification but that’s generally how you remove it.

To add a copyright in the footer, search for the footer.php page and enter it in where you’d like. You may have to experiment a little.

The advertisements? It looks like they’re background images. You can remove it by opening up the style.css file and finding line 155 and deleting the .img315_88 a class. Then delete the same on line 157 and line 158.

I’d rather not use CSS. This will create some problems with other pages on my site. PHP is fine. I actually have not began coding yet. I figured I would need to use a counter, I just don’t really know how to do it. Any help would be much appreciated! ??

Hmm then it could be in a loops.php file or something else. Each theme is different so I am not sure. Sorry.

A site like that is very complex. You might get a similar layout but it will probably take a lot of modification. There could be some free themes on the directory that could get the job done. But, most likely you will have to look for a premium theme or even a custom designed theme.

Have you tried contacting HostGator? They may have an outage with one of their servers or something. Personally, I haven’t had any issues over the past couple of days.

Sometimes themes put a link to reply or to the comments at the top of the page for easy access. While I am not familiar with that theme, you can probably remove it in the single.php file.

Yes, you’re certainly allowed to. Many people choose to keep it on their website because WordPress is a free, open CMS. But, to answer your question, you can remove it if you’d like.

This is a lot of work for someone to freely help you with. I suggest hiring someone who could do this for you.
