In reply to: [Event Organiser] Category filterFound the answer in the docs. My apologies

In reply to: [Easy Forms for Mailchimp] timeout-or-duplicateMy apologies, I modified one thing on the form at that website. I disabled recaptcha in your plugin settings. Then the problem stopped. I don’t want to leave it “live” because I don’t want people to see that error.
I was testing it myself. And my apologies, I wasn’t tracking exactly the sequence. I entered an email and registered. I tried another email, it got this error. Multiple tries, multiple errors.
I will try to set up a test staging website that uses this to see if I can duplicate it, on a site where it doesn’t matter if errors show. But that might not happen until next week

In reply to: [Lf Hiker] No more map since update 5.12It’s working for me with version 1.13 of LF HIker and WOrdPress 5.2, using the classic editor. I can’t debug your page, but it looks like you have a lot of different plugins and other things going on. Try creating a simple test page that doesn’t have all the extras, see if it displays there. If not, then look to see if another plugin is interfering, turn them off one by one until you find that it works. Other than that, I can’t add much

In reply to: [Lf Hiker] Map EditorI don’t use Elementor – you didn’t mention that earlier. I just use it in the classic WP editor

In reply to: [Lf Hiker] Map EditorI’m using WP 5.1.1 and the latest update of Lf Hiker, and I have no problem with adding points to the map, last time I tried (I don’t do it often)

In reply to: [Lf Hiker] Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasonsMy pleasure! I do like this plugin, I use it a lot in my website

In reply to: [Lf Hiker] Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasonsI have two ways to get around that in my system. There are more.
First way, that I used for a year or so, was to upload the file to a folder using FTP, and then creating the shortcode manually, using that.
Now, however, I’ve found a plugin that resolves the issue for me. Upload “WP Add Mime Types” and in Settings/Mime Type Settings add the following info for this type:
gpx = application/gpx+xml
Once you save that setting, you can use the media uploader for GPX files.
You can also turn off the error by editing your WP Config PHP file, but I don’t recommend that as it opens up a security issue.

In reply to: [Lf Hiker] Plugin blocks wysiwyg-Editor in back endI’m using essentially the same configuration (WP 4.9.8, Yoast 9.2.1) and I have no problem with the WP-editor in visual mode.
I would suggest that you try deactivating all of your other plugins, see if that resolves the issue, then try adding them one at a time and testing. I often find that different plugins interfere with each other, although LF Hiker generally has not been the source of a problem. I had issues with it and one other plugin that worked with Google Maps, but that ended up being an issue with how Google Maps wants things to work.

In reply to: [Lf Hiker] Plugin blocks wysiwyg-Editor in back endWhat version of WordPress are you using? Is this 5.0 with the Gutenberg editor? And which Yoast plugin are you using – the paid SEO one, or the free SEO one, or something else?
Try disabling all your other plugins, see if that makes a difference. I don’t have that kind of issue on my own installation. It is very quick to respond

In reply to: [Lf Hiker] Map Point SuggestionYes, that would help. I tried using the map, but that is complicated because you can’t easily zoom in to the right location. No searching feature that I see. I have coordinates, but to parse them into the right format that you need is a pain.
Thank you for the fast response. Apologies, I don’t know how to disable warning reporting

In reply to: [Lf Hiker] fatal errorI had the error also, my website uses PHP 5.4
I updated the plugin to version 1.7, which apparently was just released, and the error is resolved. Thanks for the quick response!

In reply to: [Lf Hiker] Issue: Many paths in the same fileI would think that it would be difficult to show multiple profiles if the paths are mixed. Usually, for hiking, people will put a single path in a particular file.
