In reply to: [WP Map Markers] Marker Icons not visibleCould it be anything to do with this?

… it seems that classes for pin IMG and DIV elements inside the map area have malformed background URLs – the protocol is not specified, so instead of https://gmstatic.com/something they read just //gstatic.com/something. This causes many browsers to (correctly) ignore the URLs. Chrome accepts this kind of URL.The URLs in the sidebars are correct, so all browsers show images there.

In reply to: [WP Map Markers] Marker Icons not visibleSorry about this, but I’ve the icons worked on IE but not other PC browsers or MAC. The other thing I’ve noticed is that on IE, the Google Maps Terms of Use statement runs vertically across the map.

In reply to: [WP Map Markers] Marker Icons not visibleIs there any resolution re: this?

In reply to: [Multiple Category Selection Widget] Loss of posts and pagesI found this problem occurred after installing the most recent update for this plugin. The only way to resolve that I could find was to delete the update and re-install the older version which works fine.

In reply to: Main navigation menuThanks so much for all your help govpatel. I’ve created a test site and this is what happened when I made the changes:

In reply to: Main navigation menuok thx
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Main navigation menuOK, so can I just confirm – that I just set the new menu to the primary position and then in the header.php – change it from this”:
<div class="nav"> <ul> <li><a href="<?php bloginfo('url');?>">Home</a></li> <li><a href="<?php bloginfo('url');?>/about-us">About us</a></li> <li><a href="<?php bloginfo('url');?>/adult-learning">Adult learning</a></li> <li><a href="<?php bloginfo('url');?>/contact-us/">Contact us</a></li> <li><a href="<?php bloginfo('url');?>/policy-representation/">Policy</a></li> <li><a href="<?php bloginfo('url');?>/publications/">Publications</a></li> <li><a href="<?php bloginfo('url');?>/professional-development/">Professional development</a></li> </ul> </div>
To this:
<div class="nav"> <?php /* Our navigation menu. If one isn't filled out, wp_nav_menu falls back to wp_page_menu. The menu assigned to the primary position is the one used. If none is assigned, the menu with the lowest ID is used. */ wp_nav_menu( array( 'container_class' => 'menu-header', 'theme_location' => 'primary' ) ); ?> </div>

In reply to: Main navigation menuThanks, I’ve created the menu. All good there. I haven’t assigned it as yet to the primary location as yet. I’m wondering if the theme has been customised – which it clearly has – will there be issues re: where the navigation information sits and how it looks?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Main navigation menuit says primary navigation:
Your theme supports 1 menu. Select which menu you would like to use.
