The permalink structure is postname, https://website.com/sample-post/ and I am using the Genesis theme and below is the setup for the page:

Page Attributes

Page Layouts

Side/Content

so it creates this permalink:
gives me this: https://website.com/layouts/sc/articles/

I would like it to be https://website.com/articles

It just came back. I’ve been having issues with my host for the past couple of days. Periods of not being able to access my site. Right after the menu options disappeared, my site start to act up, not able to access it. After contacting my host, it now seems to all be good now.

I put the template back into the twentyfifteen theme, activated the theme and the template shows up. I activated the template.

I then reactivated my Parallax Pro theme and the Fetch Tweets template is now showing up.

So I put the template back into the Parallax Pro theme and rechecked, it is no longer showing.

So for now, I have put it into the twentyfifteen theme until a solution can be found.

Yes, Parallax Pro is a child theme of the Genesis theme from StudioPress. I put the template into the Genesis folder and it still doesn’t show, but it does show in WordPress’ Twentyfifteen theme.

I just did a little experiment. I am using the StudioPress Parallax Pro theme. I switched to the TwentyFifteen theme and added the template and it shows up!

Then I switched back to the Parallax theme and added the template back and it does not show up.

So not sure what is going on.

Thanks for all the help. I deleted the wrong files, the update-core.php and update.php files when I was attempting to delete the .maintenance file. I added those files back and now all is normal again. thanks

No, but I did update my page a couple of weeks ago, and then I got a page that said something about maintenance being performed. I looked up information on wordpress on how to delete the .maintenance file from my wp-admin folder and the problem started after that. I may have deleted something by mistake, not sure.
