It seems to be caused by this not compatible plugin
“WP ADA Compliance Check Basic“
But a thrown error is a little bit too much drama in this case?

I want to conclude that (because i might have sounded negative above): we are very excited about the plugin. We understand only 10% of what it is capable of, but those 10% already we found very useful. Thank you for making the plugin available.

If you ran into issues with the hotfix-update, like us, it might be a good way to simply download the latest update with the fix from here.

Then use WP→Plugins→Install→Upload→Replace to get the correct (latest) update installed.

Just hitting “update” in Plugins did not immediately help – maybe a cache issue with the bugfix-update so fast after the previous update.

The problem comes from Elementor, not from Elementor Pro.

We are considering a rollback to an older Elementor version. For the moment we leave the version at the most current version (3.7.1. at the moment) so you can investigate. No rush. ??

Hi, I have the problem too (tested on 3 projects with FF and Chrome):

It helped to remove the remembered password from the browser for the “type password to save settings” modal to appear in matomo. I could now save the general settings and saw the selected options “checked”.

As soon as I did a page refresh on the general settings, the checkmarks had disappeared again. All plugin settings were lost as if they never were saved.

You actually did not have a chance to find the problem yourself, because the issue (uppercase chars in the original path vs. a require of a lowercase path) was in the first part of the path that I shortened in this bug report for security reasons. ??

Hi, the problem persisted after all plugins were deactivated (besides SEO Framewrk + Extension manager).

Our provider has this path for PEAR

If necessary, I can open a support request at the provider, regarding this required path and how to use this in a WordPress module.

Hi, yes I am using PRO.

The settings for Borlabs (from your screenshot) is only visible if the Dataprotection module is on, correct? So far I followed the tutorial already.
Why are you now suggesting of leaving the GDPR module disabled?

The missing link is that there is not such a thing as a “marketing” toggle in the Borlabs Consent Banner, if there is no active setting in there. So what needs to be there? Musn’t there be some Advanced Ads setting (similar to Adsense) in the Marketing row of “Cookies” so that a Marketing toggle appears in the banner? So that borlabs-cookie works?

Without, and with GDPR active in the ads settings, the ad remains invisible forever.

I am now thinking that JSON-LD is not the best approach in this case and html microcode is easier to implement as that only means some extra markup instead of calculations.

Not sure this plugin is still maintained as I have not seen support here recently. Maybe this can be forked?

@wasanajones maybe you need more cleanup: have you tried replacing all curly quotes ” AND ‘ with simple quotes and adding a closing ” after the schema url instead of &#_8221;?

Unfortunately the concept does not work for me, my plugin-made FAQ pages are on noindex to avoid double content. Instead I run FAQ groups all over the website on pages of all kind.
I am now trying to figure out how to detect any occurrence of a faq group and run the JSON on that page too. That’s a little bit more tricky.

A general comment to @jaysupport – For people evaluating your plugin (pre-sale) such unanswered bug notices are quite disturbing. If such a feature does not work, this could be a deal breaker. (And it is not the first time, problems with the search are mentioned on this support page.)

So in your own interest I recommend that you leave a feedback here if you believe the feature works (again), is fast, and you could solve the problem with your client.
