on https://www.celticmaverick.com – how do I get Irish Business above Free Publicity – or re-arrange the categories any way I want to? Thanks.

Thanks esmi – after your post, I have just realised that the X in front of the tags allows you to delete – I was trying to click on the text of the tag.

About the categories, I cannot see a way to ‘promote’ a category above another – or re-arrange them – eg. if you have categories:

Nuts
Fruit
Vegetables

how do you get vegetables above nuts?

Thanks alchymyth – I am just creating my first child theme – so, after I have my style.css – should I then copy functions.php and paste it into the child theme folder and make the change there?

Also there seems to be a lot of code about ‘continue reading’ in functions.php – where exactly can I change the wording? Thanks.

Well Jan you definitely scared me from going near that phpmyadmin .. so I basically ended up doing what you said earlier – had to make a few moves:
1) set up new administrator user with different name (admin)
2) delete my user account
3) log out and log in as new user
4) set up new user using my original name
5) log out and log in as my original name
6) delete (admin) user and assign posts to my original name

Seems to have worked.
Jan it’s been a long day – and I certainly appreciate that it has been 10 hours since you answered my original query – and you are still here … Fantastic support – I can only say Thanks A Million.

Ok – I don’t like deleting anything – and it will not let me use my name again as user – so I searched around web and followed this video: https://www.francescolanza.com/2007/10/24/password-admin-reset/

and in phpmyadmin – there does not appear to be any spaces before my name – see screenshot below – any ideas on what I should do now. Thank you.

New to WordPress – so can you clarify this please … just so that I get the site back before moving to Child themes.

the error you have now you will need ftp, download twenty ten, upload and overwrite the header.php file in your themes folder.

Looks like I only need a new version of header.php?

Am I supposed to download Twenty Ten from someplace with Filezilla by ftp – or do I just re-install Twenty Ten from inside the wp-admin dashboard? Thank you.

Yes, somebody else suggested child themes – so I will check that out.

Hate to have to download it again – does this mean that I am starting from scratch? Lucky I only have one page LOL – And finally, do I need to un-install the theme I have (Twenty Ten) .. I only have that one … and it is all I ever intend to have as I want a simple, clean site. Thanks again.
