Thanks for the response. I realized that CAMU. That’s why I asked if anyone from the community might be able to help. You offer a good suggestion to ask the theme developer… I might try that out too.
I am still trying to figure out how to adjust the text next the checkbox (“Notify me of followup comments. You can also subscribe without commenting”).
Basically, I want it to appear on the same line as the checkbox. I’ve looked everywhere on how to adjust this, but my code illiteracy is really getting in the way on this one.
It isn’t the developers job to help us customize his plugin. I am hopeful that someone who uses this plugin might be able to tell me which file to make the change – it will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
ChrisNo problem. I realize you cannot do that. I mistakenly thought the plugin called this from its own CSS, but apparently not. I am not super-CSS literate, but I will figure something out.
Thanks for this excellent plugin. I will go rate it right now!

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] [Plugin: WP SlimStat] W3 Total CacheThanks for the reply Camu.
I must say that I am surprised at the incompatibility of your plugin with major caching systems. I would imagine that virtually all WordPress websites use a caching system, particularly SuperCache or W3 Total Cache, which then appears to negate the use of your plugin with most websites.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] [Plugin: WP SlimStat] W3 Total CacheIs your plugin also incompatible with SuperCache, and in particular, using the Preload mode?
One more question about Comments Reloaded.
I want a more integrated look for the “Notify me of followup comments. You can also subscribe without commenting.” Basically, I want it to appear on the same line as the checkbox and in smaller font. I looked through plugin CSS but couldn’t seem to find the relevant area.
Thanks!
I’ll check out your stats plugin. Thanks. How does it impact page load performance? That is my number 1 concern now for all plugins.
Thanks for the quick response.
I am using the usual WordPress stats plugin.
I’ll check out the solution and get back to you.
Thanks again for the quick response.

Update: I tried changing the Management page setting to https://www.bmedreport.com/archives/2811341342
I hoped this would match my permalink structure better.
No luck, same results. Plugin works fine with no errors but I still get this in my WordPress stats (plugin) page: #9999999 (loading title).
Any ideas? I’m stumped.
I forgot to add that I have the Management page settings set to the plugin default: https://www.bmedreport.com/comment-subscriptions
This appears to be compatible with my page permalinks?

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] Cache not working for me :(Permissions are not my thing, but you have a permission problem. It appears that SuperCache cannot actually store the cache’d files where it needs too… it is getting rejected from writing the folder by your server.
You’ll need an FTP client to check and set file permissions. Be careful what you change because it can be a major security concern. Perhaps someone who knows permissions better than me can chime in on the exact file and permission that needs to be set.

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] Preload cache questions – Please readThe preload cache isn’t different from regular cache’d pages. It simply pre-caches all of them before they are viewed to speed page load. Thus, if you manually delete the cache this clears everything, including preloaded cache files.

In reply to: Suggestions From Community About Pitfalls Of Open Comments? One of the problems I discovered is that turning off pings/trackbacks only applies to new posts. Thus, I have over 2,000 posts that still allow it, and aside from manually unchecking the settings for each post, I do not know how to change this.
I wonder if you have the same issue?

In reply to: Suggestions From Community About Pitfalls Of Open Comments?I thought I had after I posted this; the Defensio filter takes time to train. Perhaps that is why I am seeing those comments.

In reply to: Suggestions From Community About Pitfalls Of Open Comments? Thanks. I will give open comments a try. I’ll check out the black list too!
I also decided to try Defensio for anti-spam. One thing I do not understand is that I turned off pingbacks and trackbacks in the WordPress Discussion settings as I only want actual reader comments to articles to appear. However, I have comments, presumably pings and trackbacks from other blogs, appearing now in the article comments sections. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks everyone for these suggestions..
