I did figure out the issue. It was the 2nd post from the top that had some code that was messed up. I deleted it, dumped it in to Notepad and re-posted it–it was fine.

Thanks–yup, that waa the issue. I didn’t grab the files in the root. It’s all ok now.

Ok, how do I

Under Media Library I don’t see any way to upload photos. I am thinking I just add photos by using FTP?

Also, when I click on Add an Image and upload from my computer it keeps giving “HTTP Error.”

Ok, I spoke to my host and they adjusted things so that when I go to my new domain it says “this is a test.” No more “parked” message.

To set up wordpress on that new domain, do I just install a new instance of it? Or am I supposed to somehow use my old one even though it was on a different domain? Thanks.

Shadow–that’s weird, I see a theme with a blue background (except where the text goes, that’s white.) But its not the Deschutes theme.

I will try another.

How do I check if it is installed? If it is installed are you saying to disable it? Where can I find it?

This is the 3rd different theme I’ve tried!

OK. I uploaded an entirely new theme called “Deschutes” and I see it in the darn presentation tab and I click on it and it becomes “current theme.” It then says “New Theme Activated–View Site” and I do….and it is the same old one…

One question: I see THREE different wp-content folders in my home directory…is that correct? (One under www, one under home, and one under public_html)

thanks for the suggestions…i have changed ftp to ASCII and deleted all the non-working themes and I will try again with new themes from scratch and make sure I put the folders in the right spot
