In reply to: [NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster] Incompatible with PHP 8.@artgoddess thanks for jumping in! I did see the updates available (and installed them today) so I’ll be testing tonight to see if that resolves the PHP 8 errors I was getting. Thanks again ??
@supertrooper2 how do you like FS Poster? Been thinking about cancelling my Pro Plugin for SNAP due to the lack of support and switching.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Uploads to Dropbox FailingFor my sites, this issue appears to have resolved itself. Dropbox must be working on fixing whatever went wrong on their end.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Uploads to Dropbox FailingThanks, I was also able to confirm this by using a competitor backup plugin which is returning the same error.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Uploads to Dropbox FailingAdditional Info:
I reached out to my hosting company to find out if they made any server modifications (like updates to curl.exe which has caused similar issues in the past) and am awaiting their response as well. Thing is, I have sites on multiple hosts and they ALL started doing this last night; the first failure message I got was about 1 AM EST.
Since my plugin had already been up to date for a few days and working fine, I can only assume that Dropbox implemented a change on their end for which the UpdraftPlus team wasn’t aware/prepared.
@goseongguy @hefferpa I submitted this on the paid support forum for UpdraftPlus as well and waiting for an answer. Seems there are many instances of this.

The same thing is happening to me – 20+ sites starting sometime last night.

In reply to: [Piotnet Forms] Reason for removal***I AM NOT A PIOTNET FORMS REP***
On their Facebook page, all they said was that it was removed due to changes in WordPress requirements for plugins. I asked specifically if it was due to a security concern and haven’t yet received a response. I’ve also asked in the Making WordPress Slack (those are the folks who actually make the decisions), but I doubt I’ll get an answer there as information is generally tightly guarded.
I can also confirm the new version appears to resolve the issue. Thanks!
I got a response to my ticket to BSF and there is a fix in the works that will be released soon. They didn’t say exactly when, but it’s coming. @cookie1974 you might want to consider keeping development/test versions of your client sites in case there are future issues like this (there always are). I update my client’s dev version first and check for issues before rolling to their live sites – saves me from having to go through what you are currently dealing with.
I submitted a ticket for a similar issue – the section block no longer respect the setting to inherit inner width from theme. It can be worked around by manually setting the width.
Hah! I’m glad it worked for you ??
I just happen to use Astra & UAG for all my builds so I know my way around the options. Making use of the ability to assign custom CSS classes in blocks is an excellent tool that anyone who builds sites can benefit from. Combine that with Chrome’s inspection tool to find which built-in class to target (ie
.uagb-post__inner-wrap
) gives you pretty much full control over how your site looks without having to be good at code.- This reply was modified 3 years, 9 months ago by CGS Web Designs. Reason: Typo
I am not a BSF representative, but saw this question and thought I may be able to help.
In the page editor, select the post grid block you want to be transparent. In the block settings under advanced, give it a custom class such as
transparent-post-grid
and then save your changes.Open the page in the customizer and go to custom CSS and add this code:
.transparent-post-grid .uagb-post__inner-wrap { background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0); }
This will set the background color to transparent on the inner wrap of any UAG post grid block that you have set the custom class to transparent-post-grid.

In reply to: [Melapress File Monitor] Emails in Plain TextThank you Robert!
Thanks for the reply, I forgot the exact verbiage of the details as I’ve already removed the file & rescanned the site so it’s gone. I recreated it and re-ran the scan to get the output details for you (and now I’m pretty convinced I’m the one who put it there because my auto-fill on my browser even remembered the file name when I created a new file).
The issue type is: IOC:PHP/server.check.10173
The main question is just why it took so long for Wordfence to alert on it – if it’s the result of a new signature, then that makes sense.
