In reply to: [Ad Inserter - Ad Manager & AdSense Ads] Removed From WP RepositoryThank you for taking care of this so quickly. I’ve seen some plugins disappear from the repository and take months to return. :::thumbs up:::

In reply to: [Newsport] Hide Featured Images in PostThanks for the reply. I actually already went through your support portal and this is what I was told:
First off, thanks for reaching out. Yes it can be implemented, but it seems specific customization, so we recommend you to add such kind of functionality from the child theme approach with the help of expert WordPress developer.
Obviously there are free plugins that provide this functionality so that’s what I ended up going with – I was simply trying to avoid adding any unnecessary plugins.

In reply to: [Page Links To] Compatible with 4.9.xI’m using it with 4.9.4 and it works fine.
I’ve posted a forum question as to whether or not the plugin is still supported though – it hasn’t been updated in over a year now.

In reply to: [Page Links To] Social Cards and Meta infoI don’t think so – social media providers such as Facebook and Twitter do their scrape on the content endpoint. The scrapers are pretty good at finding the actual content, they’ll follow redirect after redirect to get to it.
The way this plugin works, you don’t even have an actual URL for the content on your site – check your sitemap_index.xml provided by Yoast and you’ll see that the pages you use this plugin with won’t even be there. Essentially it ignores your content and creates a redirect to the actual content.
That did the trick, thanks! I wasn’t expecting the setting in the screen options so never even looked. Thanks again.

In reply to: [Hestia] Child Theme Ad Won’t Dismiss on New VersionThe update took care of it, thank you for prompt fix!

In reply to: [Hestia] Navbar does not become opaque when scrollingAre you using a child theme? I had a similar problem when switching one of my sites over to Hestia last night. While the navbar performed correctly under the Hestia theme, my child-theme navbar preformed oddly.
What I found was that Hestia requires a special functions.php for a child theme. The generic functions.php that normally is used for a child theme doesn’t work properly with the navbar.
If you’re using a child theme, get your functions.php file from here: https://docs.themeisle.com/article/656-how-to-create-a-child-theme-for-hestia

In reply to: [Simple Author Box] Plugin moves header elements when activatedThanks Christian, that snippet appears to have resolved the issue. I appreciate your assistance very much!

In reply to: [Simple Author Box] Plugin moves header elements when activatedI know the icons aren’t coming from the plugin, I put them there in a widget using HTML. However, before the plugin was installed that widget displays at the top of the header instead of at the bottom. The only page where this doesn’t occur is the main feed page linked in the original post.
To better illustrate the issue I’ve uploaded some screenshots…
Plugin Disabled: This is how the header SHOULD look: https://cgscomputer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Plugin-Disabled.png
Plugin Enabled: This is what happens when the plugin is enabled: https://cgscomputer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Plugin-Enabled.png- This reply was modified 7 years, 3 months ago by CGS Web Designs.

In reply to: [Simple Author Box] Plugin moves header elements when activatedThe plugin is activated, I’m not sure why you don’t see it. You can look at any blog post such as
apples-war-small-business/
and see the Author Box at the bottom of the post.If you’re using a tablet or mobile you can’t see the issue, it’s only visible on desktop with the browser window wide enough to allow full expansion of the theme.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Version 5.0.1 Conflicts with StarBox v3.0.6I also discovered today that in order to replicate the issue, the post you’re updating or publishing must have the [starbox] shortcode explicitly in the post.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Cannot modify header information in/post.php on line 197Do you have the StarBox plugin installed? I found that the new version of Yoast seems to conflict with that to cause this error.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Version 5.0.1 Conflicts with StarBox v3.0.6Thank you for the response. I’ve submitted the issue to the GitHub repository for Yoast SEO. I have also already reported the issue to the support folks at StarBox via their support forum at StarBox Plugin Support – no response from them at this time.
