There’s that double-edged sword in open source software development where, assuming you are working in the open, you are sharing a perpetual work in progress. I see your point about how it was initially received, though, and I appreciate your candor with this feedback.

It’s definitely a change in workflow, which is always difficult. It is a very big change but one that’s meant to bring WordPress into a more modern era (for technology certainly, and hopefully also for site creators).

Thanks for being specific about what caused the crash, @robert7k! It can be really frustrating when technology doesn’t do what we expect. A lot of improvements were just made to the columns blocks in the last release of WordPress — would you mind trying this out again and see if it still happens?

This is definitely good to know. I was wracking my brain for possible reasons and couldn’t locate anything that made sense.

You’re welcome! I wouldn’t hurt to brush up on your RegEx in order to build those filters, either. Anchors (^,$) and escape characters (\) are the most useful for what you’re doing.

This is going to sound weird, but have you checked your spam folder lately? From time to time those emails get flagged as spam on accident.

Sitelinks can be demoted from your Webmaster Tools. Have you verified your site with Google?

This sounds like it could be an issue with the way your Analytics accounts are setup. Subdomains are considered part of the overall domain and will be tracked that way.

In order for these two sites to be viewed differently, you’ll need to add a couple of custom filters. First, you’ll need a filter that will include the full URL in Google Analytics.
Second, you need to add a filter that includes data from only the domain (or the subdomain).

Are you using the default theme? There are a lot of themes available for showcasing photos and that might be a good place to start.
