Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Saving Drafts and Posts Glitch Since WordPress UpdateThank you for your help. I was able to resolve this issue by clearing my website’s cookies. It appears to be working fine. I don’t expect any issues going forward.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast SEO is not appearing in postsIt is very clear Yoast’s staff is refusing to fix the problems with their plugin. I will no longer use your products due to poor service, the refusal of service, and unprofessional. Your plugin is the problem.
You can’t call this a GitHub issue. You don’t know what the issue is. I don’t have Impperva. My other site with the same host and plugins does not have this problem. It is clearly an issue with Yoast.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast SEO is not appearing in postsHow is that possible? I’ve explained I have two websites with the same host. One website has this problem and the other website does not have this problem. It cannot be the host when Yoast works perfectly fine for my other site with the same browser, plugins, and host.
Yoast must be the issue if it has issues with multiple CDN/WAFs. It would be unreasonable for Yoast to require every CDN/WAF to change for it.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast SEO is not appearing in postsI am not using Imperva. I do not think this is the cause of my problems. I own two websites with the same host on the same plan and have the same plugins. The other website is not experiencing the glitch from Yoast. Their only different is domain.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast SEO is not appearing in postsI’ve discovered one console error. It is this. I’m not sure what this means. Do you know what this error means?
Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid regular expression: /^*-+:*$/: Nothing to repeat

My issue with the host was not cause of the problem.
I’ve tested the site in Troubleshooting mode. I only enabled Yoast SEO, and no other plugins and themes were active.
However, the issue is still there. It appears to be an issue with the plugin.

My site has WordPress 5.8.2, and that is the most recent version to my knowledge.
I don’t think the theme is the issue. I’ve been using the same theme with Yoast for over three years without any previous conflicts.
Health Check & Troubleshooting is showing errors from my host provider. That could be the root of the issue. I will post an update on this after I get an answer from my host.

I’ve uploaded two screenshots of the error.
How do I attach these files in an email? Where do I find these files to attach them?
I spoke to my hosting company. They found an infected file and deleted it. The infected file is gone, and Wordfence never detected it. It was a different file from those files in the report.
The malware from the report was removed after the infected file and W3 Cache were removed from the files. However, the malware from the report returned after I reinstalled W3 Cache.
Hello @wfpeter
I’ve sent the report from your instructions.
To add more details, my host has also attempted to delete the files. They’ve claimed their deleted them on numerous occasions over the weekend, but the files continue to return.
One representative said, he could not find the files in the cache folder (all of the files are in cache).

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Robots.txt errorThe update has not resolved this issue on my end. Google Search Console continues to generate errors and failed validations. I’ve updated the plugin and cleaned the site’s cache.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Robots.txt errorThis is WordPress hosting from a web host. WordPress is pre-installed. I do not have access to WordPress’s files. None of your advice in any conversation about this issue has been helpful.
Please provide a solution for people and casual users, who are not coders. This glitch is hurting my business.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Robots.txt errorI’ve tried the WP rollback plugin because I am not a coder. I’m a usual user of WordPress. It did not resolve the problem. I’m still getting errors.
Furthermore, my hosting package does provide me access to the root of my website. I have a package only for WordPress.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Robots.txt errorI don’t know how to delete the robots.txt.file. Instructions would be more helpful.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Robots.txt errorHow do we change permission for the robots.txt.file or revert the plugin to a previous version? I am not a coder. There’s needs to be a solution for this type of users as well.
