In reply to: Editor Not Performing as AdvertisedI appreciate you responding. However, switching to another theme is not an option. I am using PureVision and must stay with this theme.
I guess the new features of WordPress 4.0 are VERY conditional. I doubt that most users will be able to meet the conditions. Why make it so hard?

In reply to: [Simple Shortcode for Google Maps] Multiple Maps on a Page Do Not DisplayPippin. “All of a sudden” the multiple maps are showing again in IE and in Firefox. Today I had to restore the MySQL database for this web site from yesterday’s backup (because I installed Mage Google Map plugin and it made my web site network inoperable). After restoring from backup, deleting the mage plugin folder, stopping and starting the web site, the web site came back to life. I then also found that the multiple maps were now showing. Something in this series of resets appears to have made the difference in your shortcode working. I will post here if it stops working again. Thanks.

In reply to: [Simple Shortcode for Google Maps] Multiple Maps on a Page Do Not DisplayNO. I deactivated all other plugins and tested in IE and FireFox. Does not show multiple maps. Sometimes two maps will show, but never all the maps. I appreciate you help in resolving this, as our site truly depends on showing multiple maps with the shortcode.

In reply to: [Simple Shortcode for Google Maps] Multiple Maps on a Page Do Not DisplayBy the way, the theme I am using for these is the simple (comes with WordPress) Twenty-Twelve theme.

In reply to: [Simple Shortcode for Google Maps] Multiple Maps on a Page Do Not DisplayWhat is showing on your screen shot is the second and third maps. The first is missing. It is sketchy. Sometimes only the last, sometimes two, every once in a great while all three appear briefly, until page refresh. Something is definitely amiss. I have about fifty web sites that display multiple maps using the shortcode, and they all are now having the issue.

This is the code on the page. It is just a test.
[pw_map address=”Akron, oh” width=”400px” height=”200px”]
[pw_map address=”Toledo, OH” width=”400px” height=”200px”]
[pw_map address=”New York City” width=”400px” height=”200px”]Here is another page that should show multiple maps. It is missing three of five. Used to show fine in older WP.

In reply to: [A Page Flip Book] Didn't Work and Only Allows One Book to be CreatedFirst, I did not know that my “review” was going into the support forum, else I would have included information appropriate for support.
My environment is WordPress 3.9.1 running under PHP 5.5 on a Windows Server 2008 R2/IIS 7.x platform.

In reply to: [Flip Pong V] Dud. Did Not Work.First, I did not know that my “review” was going into the support forum, else I would have included information appropriate for support.
My environment is WordPress 3.9.1 running under PHP 5.5 on a Windows Server 2008 R2/IIS 7.x platform.
I have installed the plugin on two different web sites and gotten the same result.
1. I create the first and only flipbook, adding a gallery of two jpg images.
2. I save the flipbook.
3. I click the button in the editor to view the flipbook.
4. WordPress gives me a page saying “Ooops, this is embarrassing . . . page cannot be found.”
5. I get the same result if I enter the hyperlink/address of the flipbook provided by the editor. Why might this be happening in two independent tests?

In reply to: Editor Removing Paragraph TagsBy the way esmi, thank you for jumping in to try to help me. You have helped with a number of my other posts as well. I appreciate the free help, as I am sure you have other things you could be doing other than answering my pleas.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Editor Removing Paragraph TagsI got that much. But I have “active” plugins the functionality of which is not being utilized (like the associated shortcodes are not being used). Hence, their removal would have no net effect on my site. That is what I mean by finding out of a plugin is actually being used versus just being “active.”
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Editor Removing Paragraph TagsThis leads to an ancillary question. How can I determine if I am actually using a particular plugin? I suspect that I am not using the JQuery Horizontal Slider plugin, as my site looks fine with it disabled. Is there a way to check if a plugin is actually being used?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Editor Removing Paragraph TagsI found that when I deactivate the JQUERY Horizontal Slider plugin the problem goes away. However, this is perplexing, as this plugin is active in another site, and the problem does not exist there.
Any ideas?
