In reply to: Editor Removing Paragraph TagsOkay. With all plugins deactivated, theme twenty fourteen, and cache manually cleared (I used IE>Tools>Delete), the editor produced the results I expected when I entered paragraphs and viewed in browser. When I reactivated all plugins (still with theme twenty fourteen) the editor issue of grunging paragraphs all together returned. So it does not look like a theme issue.
The plugins I am using are:
Configure SMTP
Google Analytics
Hana FLV Player
JQUERY Horizontal Slider
KVS Player
NIVO Slider Light
Optimized Dropdown Menus
PureVision Shortcode Insert Button
Search & Replace
Smart YouTube Pro
Spam Destroyer

In reply to: Editor Removing Paragraph TagsI will try this and report. I have two other sites that do not have the editor problem and they use a different theme. However, they also do not use many of the plugins used by my main site.

In reply to: Editor Removing Paragraph TagsSo you think the theme is causing the problem? Is the editor specific to the theme? I have also tried the CKEditor and it too behaves problematically, albeit with different issues.

In reply to: Editor Removing Paragraph TagsI am using the “PureVision” theme. I purchased it from Theme Forest.

In reply to: Editor Removing Paragraph TagsWhen I use the “Visual” editor, and select text and make it “Paragraph” it is not set apart as it should be. All the text flows together when viewed. When I use the “Text” editor tab and add the <p> tags, they remain unless I then switch to “Visual,” where the tags are removed by the editor. I should be able to use the Visual editor and select text, make it “Paragraph” and have it set off from text above and below. It does not work that way.

In reply to: Do Not Have an Edit Page LinkSOLVED. It was my misunderstanding. It had to do with the initial setup of the web site where it was displaying the “Your latest posts” as the home page. Then the edit link was not there. However, when I have an actual page showing as the home page, the edit link is there. No problem.

In reply to: HTTP 500 After Adding New SiteWhen I have no options checked, it works. I then select the options I want to make network-wide, and the error is thrown. The options selected include:
active_plugins
c2c_configure_smtp
current_theme
sidebars_widgets
stylesheet
template

In reply to: HTTP 500 After Adding New SiteIt does indeed appear to be related to the “YD Network-wide options” plugin. When I set some of the network-wide options, I begin to get the HTTP 500 error when I create a new site. The site that is working does not use this plugin. So there we have it.
It does not appear that the plugin has been tested with WP 3.8, and support does not seem to be happening.

In reply to: HTTP 500 After Adding New SiteI was just experimenting, I network disabled the plugin, “YD Network-wide options,” then tried adding another site. It worked without error. I network reenabled the same plugin and all subsequent site additions worked.
When these boogeymen hit, it is perplexing.

In reply to: Cannot Put Period in User NameOkay. I now understand front-end and back-end. Whenever I log into my site, using https://www.site.org/login I AM in the back-end, by your definition. Hence, it would not be possible to add users unless I was logged in and thus in the back-end. When I use https://www.site.org/login, it redirects me to https://www.site.org/wp-login.php. Once credentials are entered, I end up at https://www.site.org/wp-admin/.
I am perplexed as to why I am having issues with this multisite and not my other multisite, which runs on the same server. Both use the same theme (twenty-twelve child) and same theme files.

In reply to: HTTP 500 After Adding New SiteOn my server (Windows Server 2008 R2) I am looking at the event viewer. What would I look for?

In reply to: HTTP 500 After Adding New SiteMika:
How do I check the error log on my server. Where do I look? As I noted, why would this occur on one multisite and not another on the same server?

In reply to: Cannot Put Period in User NameI use https://www.website.org/login to login. Is that taking me to the “front end”?
Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: Cannot Put Period in User NameNot sure what you mean by front end and back end. I am logged into the network as a super admin using url/login
How do I get in as wp-admin and override as you put it?

In reply to: Cannot Open Dashboard on New SitesSo what does the “{R:2}” designate? I see “{R:1}” was the problem.
