In reply to: [Ocean Extra] Ocean Extra Conflict with ElementorI still need assistance with this. I disabled the plugins, refreshed the pages, changed themes, but the problem is still there. Help is appreciated. The site works only in the staging environment, not the live site.

In reply to: [Ocean Extra] Ocean Extra Conflict with ElementorI did this and that how I know the Ocean Extra and the Litespeed plugins are the ones removing the design. I changed themes and it did not happen then.

In reply to: [OceanWP] Activation Email Going To Old Administrator EmailSure, the website was developed in 2014 by another developer so when the client wanted to update the site they hired me.
I went in to change the admin info and could not. The change would not save. I was advised to go to Users and delete the admin and create a new one, which I did. This is also confirmed in PHPMyAdmin, he is not there anymore.
I logged in as the new admin and installed OceanWP and Ocean Extra and it stated that it sent the activation email to the previous developer even after I removed him! The same thing happened before the deletion too.
As the new designer, I want to use OceanWP to redesign the website but I can’t get around the activation email going to a dead email. The previous developer is no longer in the web business.
Is there a workaround to installing OceanWP and finishing the site design?

In reply to: [OceanWP] Malicious Files Found on Child ThemeThere was some modification made to the code but that was mainly to make the website password protected
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [OceanWP] Malicious Files Found on Child ThemeThank you. I backed up her website and changed her website password to a strong password to prevent further damage.
I then viewed the functions.php file in my client’s file manager.
Then, I compared my client’s code to the child code on Github. On Github, I see 30 lines of code for the child theme and I see a massive glump of code before the child theme code on my client’s file manager.
The corrupted files are in the functions.php file. To clarify, I should replace the child theme with a clean .dat file and place it in her file manager?

In reply to: [OceanWP] Malicious File Found on Child ThemeThanks, I installed the child theme per Ocean’s instructions. This was done last year with no issues until now.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Question About Events Calendar/ProThey are also want guests/members to RSVP before the events too
Thank you ladies so much! I’ll keep you posted!
Correct! I see Elementor in the FTP, but not on the site itself.
The staging site is thankfully fine since I didn’t update Elementor on it. Im backing up the staging site now (something I know better to do with the live site, SMH!).
Only the live site is having issues.
If I remove it from the cpanel, will my changes remain the same or am I back at square one?
I don’t have a caching plugin installed yet.
Yes, only I have access to the site. My client only sees the staging site. I do see Elementor in my FTP drive which is probably why I cannot reinstall it. it tells me the file already exists.
It tells me destination folder exists so reinstallments fail.
I can’t even see the plugin to update it? It’s gone! I only see my work on the staging website, but not the live site
What if the plugin disappeared? What do you do then?
Is there a resolution for this? I just saw that my client’s website is jacked up and Elementor is gone and cannot be reinstalled.
