That worked once I played with the maximum Height and Width settings. My maximum photo sizes are 600 x 800 – but although the height is now fixed the center align doesn’t work anymore.

That works. Thanks. I was using the Portfolio instructions with Separate but it makes sense that it would be excluded in that case.

Very strange. Those were not checked (I thought I had checked them) so I turned them on and the slideshow came back but then I went to this page https://thelocalscoop.org/scooppress/art-hives/ to make sure these were still not a slideshow (which is what I want) and since then I can’t get the slideshow to come on again – even on a second PC no slideshow.

I figure that out, but it still means you have to start with ONE album at the top level. I was trying to figure out a work around so I could show more than one album at the top level. Maybe I can figure out a way to use more than one WP page and do them in iframes or something.

Thanks, that works starting with one grandparent album, but I want to start with a page of grandparent choices, so you start with a something like Seminars, Excursions, AGM Photos as Grandparents – and then inside of each of those are the parent albums showing various dates. They work individually but I’m trying to figure out how to start with a page of choices as well.

Never mind, I was moving a previous WP site to a new template – the author had Allow Comments off on all his posts. I was unaware that this is only visible in Quick Edit. That’s weird.

Same thing. Can’t save a Widget with Sharing box unchecked – it defaults back to checked and puts icons in the Widgets.

Problem with all those plugins is they create columns in full pages or posts – not in the sidebar. Check out the “Tags” in the sidebar here

I’m actually using the Taxonomy List Widget for that list, but there should be a way to put any of those lists into columns, whether it’s Recent Posts, Archives, or Categories as well.

I can’t see how you could do this in CSS because these are generated by a loop, correct? I would think it needs something like, for the length of the array, divide in half, and then style it into columns. Somebody should write a plugin to do that. I would, but I don’t know how ??
