How do you switch off comments completely

The trouble is that the articles link have links within them that link to pages and this is why I am getting https://www.eshop600.co.uk/john-lewis.html/comment-page-1/ .

The only way i can see how to correct his is to remove all the comments that are approved unless you have another idea.

I have done that, and yes it stops it for posts but not for pages

There seems to be a technical error when you accept comments. If you have articles that links to any internal pages and you approve a comment on the article page, it causes the pages that are linked to, to have comment-page-1 created. This is because the pages have over 50 links to them so wordpress seems to create the comment-page-1 to break them up as pages. The problem is that you can stop this happeneing to articles but the only way I can see this stopping for pages is to delete all the comments.

Has anyone else found this out.

This problem fixed itself.

I have the latest wordpress version and for some reason this simble <p> appears at the front of all my posts when published live. You can see it clearly at the front of the post. I never had this problem before.

Any ideas please why this is happening?

Hi, I have a plugin that I have updated to the current version for two of my websites which are on the same server, one for testing and the other for live sales.

The plugin updated properly on the test server but not on the live site. Yet both the sites are the same in everyway, including plugins etc….

I have deleted out the plugin and re-uploaded via ftp, reactivted it, and everytime i get thrown out of the wp admin area, I then have to go back in to /wp-admin through my address bar. The plugin has been activted ok, but it keeps showing the previous version, yet on my test site it shows the correct version.

I have deactivted all plugins to see if it is a plugin problem, but it isnt as the test site has the same plugins active.

Any ideas please what could be happening here and why I can see the correct version on site and not the other.

WP 2.9.2 also has this problem. Can anyone give me a fix for the ‘Missed Schedule’ problem for version 2.9.2

WordPress 2.9.2 Scheduled Posts not working

I have just aupgraded to the latest version of word press 2.9.2. Not of my posts will schedule, but thay will publish ok.

Has anyone got any answers to this please. I had this problem before with an older version of wordpress and it was fixed. This does anoy me though each time you upgrade there is a problem with something nt working.

I would appreciate a fix for this please as this now affects my business.

Same here. Luckily I had a backup.

So sick of things going wrong everytime i upgrade. I will not upgrade anymore until I know things are sorted out properly with wordpress.

Why cant the latest version be tested properly before release. I lost a whole days work because of this and had to re add 5 days worth of content as well.

Hi I still cannot for somereason publish articles with the latest version of wordpress. All was ok until I upgraded to version 2.9

I have also disabled all plugins and nothing has worked

Hi, I have just upgraded to version 2.9 and have come across a posting issue. Everytime I try to publish a post or schedual a post for some reason it will not publish, all i get is this message “Missed schedule”. It has never done this before.
