Thanks, now I can access the settings file in the root directory but I can’t access the actual WordPress site.

chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/

Do I have to enter any commands once I’ve installed my templates? I currently have to type in https://www.myswebsite.com/wordpress to access my website. How do I set it to https://www.mywebsite.com

Will installing an FTP server help at all? What would you say the problem is?

So is there no way that we can fix it? What should I tell them?

I used this command
sudo find . -type d -exec chmod 767 {} \;
and now it’s asking for Connection Information.

I don’t know what I’m meant to type. I tried this but then it just sends me back to that page.
Hostname: localhost
FTP Username: root
FTP Password: My root password
Connection Type: FTPS (SSL)
