I managed to fix the header situation. There was an extra curly bracket in the php code that was making it not work.

I’m currently working on a child theme and I included the snippet. It centers the header and menu but makes that area white and I want that portion to be black. How do I change the background color? and also have my logo be much larger?

I tried the workaround and the featured images still are not displaying properly in portrait. Is it at all possible using CSS to not have them show at all in that mode but just for the iphone?

Thanks for your help. I happened to come across this which details how to get wordpress to do it for you without needing photoshop.

@rdell How do I set up the images to be 270×250 and centered? Would I have to upload separate thumbnail images?

It’s just too dark for my background

Also how do I change I permantently change the color of the body text for posts? I made my background black and I have the red skin so the text appears as gray and it’s kind of hard to read.

I did it before but when I did the update it lost my changes and I can’t remember where I went to change it. Also I’m working on this locally.

How do I change the width of the menu from the left side where the social links sit? I would like to have it line up with separator bar underneath the featured pages circles.
