In reply to: [Flat Rate Shipping Plugin For WooCommerce] Product Condition Doesn′t WorkStill not working. The plugin does fetch my product categories, though.
Most of my products are variable. Does this mean that the plugin won’t get results for variable products?
Thanks for your help.

In reply to: [Flat Rate Shipping Plugin For WooCommerce] Product Condition Doesn′t WorkI also have this issue. My products are not loading into the plug-in’s dialog, and typing them in manually does not work. The dialog returns to blank.
Woocommerce v 3.9.2
No luck, I’m afraid.
I can add conditions to my Shipping Zone, and Shipping Method “Canada Post – WooCommerce Services”, but the conditions don’t save. They’re gone the next time I look at the dialog.
Thx.
Here it is. https://d.pr/qrA7pE
I’ve imported my products, and they show up fine. But there’s still no sign of the text that I’ve put in the editor. Is that how the template is supposed to work?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] flat-rate shipping formula optionsCould use a hand with something similar:
For one of my shipping classes, I charge $4 per item. I’m using the formula: ([qty] * 4). This works fine as long as I have the “Cost” field in the upper area of the dialog for my Flat rate Shipping Method set to nothing (no entry).
What I actually want is to set my main flat rate Cost to 12, and then set the flat rate rule for the particular shipping class to: ([qty] * 4) – 12, which is pretty much what the OP was looking for. Doesn’t work. I get shown a flat rate of $12, unless my quantity is 4 or greater. Where am I going wrong?
Related: The Flat Rate WC documentation seems to say that if I enter N/A under the shipping class costs, the Flat Rate option won’t show up for products in that shipping class. This only works if I don’t have an entry for Cost (in the upper part of the Shipping Method dialog.) As soon as I put 12 up there, even the shipping classes that I have set as N/A will offer the Flat Rate of $12.00 at checkout. Help?
(Shipping debug is enabled.)
Thanks.

Hi Job.
Sorry for the delay. I went through your troubleshooting protocol. Result is the same.
Did a fresh install of WordPress on https://www.test.carpentersherbal.ca, Installed Storefront and WC, set featured image on homepage and used default text in MCE, installed the Health Check plugin, started troubleshooting mode, reinstalled theme and WC plugins, set template to homepage: All I see is the image and then the site footer.
I’ll leave everything as is until I hear from you. Lemme know what else you need.
Chris.
I’ll get on that as soon as I can. Yes, the issue persists whenever I use the Homepage template with a featured image. Last time I was mucking about, it seemed like it might be a conflict with a Homepage Control (sic?) plugin.

In reply to: [Storefront] Handheld footer Search not working with FirefoxHi Job.
I’m glad to hear it’s an edge-case. I’m more concerned with customers than me. Just wish I’d figured it out sooner.
Turns out the built-in Samsung Internet browser gives the same issue. I also mis-characterized the issue: it just re-loads whatever page I’m on.
Thanks for checking it out.
Chris.

In reply to: [Storefront] Handheld footer Search not working with FirefoxOh. Firefox V 47.0 on a Samsung S3 mini, Android v 4.4.2.
Marking resolved.
“Have you selected the homepage template? When I inspect your website, I don’t see the class that would be expected if you had done that:”
Yes, indeed. I spent some time working on it yesterday, during which time I disabled all the SiteOrigin plugins, and created a new page from scratch. I selected the Homepage Template, set my featured image, composed some text in the MCE. Upon viewing the page, all I see is the featured image. Text is nowhere to be seen. Could it be a different plugin conflict?
After that, I had to get back to creating the site, and right now, my best workarounds all involve SiteOrigin plugins – and not using the Homepage Template. So that’s why they’re activated. At this point I’m committed to those workarounds. I would love to solve the mystery of the Homepage Template, but I don’t need to.
I could mark the topic resolved, or do more tests as you instruct if you’re committed to unraveling the mystery. Let me know.
Thanks for your help.
Hi Job,
Thanks for your reply. Yep, I’m using the Homepage Template.
I disabled the SiteOrigin plugins and created a page from scratch. Same result. With a Featured Image set, all I see is the image, then the page footer. If I remove the featured image, the text content in my MCE shows up. Any other thoughts?
Chris
OK. I figured out the second part of the question, about the featured image that wasn’t visible in the Editor.
But I’m still trying to get the first question. When I use the Featured Image on the Homepage Template, why does the image become the entire content of the page? Is that as it should be?
Thanks.
Oh yeah. Also started using SiteOrigin Page Builder partway through building the site, in case that affects the question.
