This explanation and the links are way too advanced for my understanding. For one, if I use a child theme, will I not be able to continue to use what I have now? Where do I find the .php files?

I did that to set up the Shop by Subject tab (which is where the shop page lands). That doesn’t solve the problem of adding a link to the photos on the portfolio page to link to where the product can be found on the shopping page.

The thing is, when I tested it, I signed up with an email address that wasn’t associated with the WP account, which is why I’m sure it was a cache issue.

I just had my daughter, who lives in a different state, create an account and try to reset the password. IT worked beautifully for her.

So bottom line is it IS a cache problem somewhere.

I just registered a new account with a different email address that’s never been used on my website, and in a browser I never used WP on. Still got the same result — going to a WP login screen.

So in other words, the customer needs to have a WordPress account in order to reset their password?

I have the identical question however, I do not have the option of Product Categories on my menu page. I’m using a newer version; it is possible this has been moved somewhere else?

UPDATE… This DID NOT work. Changing from plural to singular results in only showing ONE main category, not all of them. So back to the drawing board of the original question, which is how do I get only my main categories to show on the main shop page? Shop Page Display is set to Show Categories, and Category Display is set to Show Subcategories.

Resolved. The problem was that I had my products set to private. When I changed to public, they appeared in the category page.

Thanks! I’m really hoping to find a way to do all this without having to use html or css codes. I’m happy to purchase an add-on or extension, if such a one exists.
