Thank you all very much! With this information I should be able to resolve it.
In case anyone was curious, I found out from my host (who purchased my old host) that they changed the Domain Name Server without notifying me and an IP address was changed on their end.
Effectively, the www was showing the website from one server, while the CPanel and FTP were logging into an earlier version of the same thing. So when I would modify any files, they wouldn’t show up on the WWW… Off to modify some DNS / IP!!
