My apologies. It should work now.
You should have received an email. Thank you.
I am not sure what you mean by format. I did go back and look more closely. It appears my custom settings were dropped from all the updating and reverting. I could provide you with access to look and test if you’d like, but not here publicly. ??
In fact, after installing, now all my posts with valid expiration dates no longer show them.

But now, it no longer shows. So, I don’t know that it’s working properly. Normally the post shows the date at the bottom. In fact, now, none of my posts that have expiration dates show those dates in the footer. ??
No, sorry. It does nothing. Aside from installing the plugin update, nothing happens. I can turn on or off the setting and set the date, but nothing results. Wish I could offer you more.
Sorry. But, this does not fix my issue. Now, I cannot activate post expirator at all.
Thank you, Steve.
Sorry, Steve. This latest version is wreaking all kinds of havoc. When I update or edit certain posts it sets them to auto-expire the next day and I have no way of removing that date. I just have to go back and republish the post after the plugin removes it to draft. I have downgraded to 2.5.1. It seems to be the most stable version.
Just so you know. That post link shared above shows the expirator is turned off. So, I am not sure why its showing up and why it chose that date.
I really don’t know what you need. I installed the plugin years ago and keep it updated. All of a sudden, I check this post and it shows it expiratory is turned on and active for the date shown.
TY. Eager to see what you find out. I appreciate the speedy response!
I believe the beta fixed the plug-ins issue with ignoring the setting and defaulting it to on, on every post. However, the default category feature does not work. I have to manually turn it on for posts made under the default category.

Also, this beta version turned off post expiration on all my previous posts with the setting turned on. In my case, that’s not a big deal but it could be for others.
