In reply to: [Manage User Columns] Deleting a ColumnMy developer has resolved it somehow
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Manage User Columns] Deleting a ColumnTo share more information on how this column was created. I copied and pasted the Column name into the second field, so I didn’t select one from the drop down when you start typing, as that id had not been created yet in the User profile.
I think in a past version an error would occur if you tried doing this as the information didn’t exist. So it would stop the column being created.
Is there anyway in WP to somehow update the “User Meta Field” for this existing column? to select or use any existing meta id so it then can be deleted.

In reply to: [Manage User Columns] Deleting a ColumnHi, I’ve shared how it looks here
If there is a way to find where these are stored maybe I could delete it somehow manually?

In reply to: [Ajax Search Lite - Live Search & Filter] Custom User / URL outputMaybe this is a bug that can be looked into instead. I don’t know where to report that as I cannot create a support ticket. If you use?{USER_NICENAME} after a Username has been updated to a new Username. Such as;
Old Username: Example UK
New Username. Example
Using ?{USER_NICENAME}, it pulls in the original Old Username and not the new one. So the URL would be example.co.uk/example-uk/ which results in a 404. I don’t know why it pulls in the old name.
Hence my original post as using {USER_NICENAME} is not an option.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Ajax Search Lite - Live Search & Filter] Custom User / URL outputHi,
Sorry, I didn’t realise. Yes, I do have the Pro version – and have extended support a couple of times, but the licence has expired so am unable to send a support ticket.
I never noticed this issue before and am baffled that there it not an easy solution within the Advanced tab. I think I will just leave it then. I don’t really want to pay for a 3rd time when I think it should have worked of the box.
I mean using ” – ” instead of “%20″ by default. Even the URL on this page uses ” – ” https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/custom-user-url-output/#new-topic-0

Hi Pulak,
Thank you for your reply, and sharing the code.
The code worked and has removed the added spacing from the update. But the code has also since removed the dots that were underneath the carousels that showed which logo it was currently on. Please see – https://ibb.co/qpXLcFg
Any suggestions to get the dots back would be appreciated.
The code did fix 100% the issue on the /deals/ page as that carousel was a 3×3 layout with no dots.
ThanksHi Pulak,
Sorry for the delay in replying. I didn’t realise you had responded. You can see here below the 3×3 carousel on the right bar area – https://tinyurl.com/5n7apntc
As well as on the home page & Top Picks page (links at the top of the site), beneath each carousel an extra line has been added. My developer hasn’t had the chance to manually fix this yet.
Any feedback would be welcome as to why it could be occurring.
All the best,Hi Alex,
I’ve recorded a video of my screen showing the issue and created a support ticket.
Could someone please take a look and confirm whether it is my website creating this issue, or if it can be replicated the same way as in the video.
Many thanks
Thank you Alex.
That sounds good. Hopefully you can come up with a fix.
All the best
Hi Stiofan,
Thank you for the release, I’ve checked the update.
It works but it looks like there is a slight bug. Please check on your end.
Once you sign up via Facebook, and go to the change password tab via the email link or account. You do see the ‘New Password’ field and you can set a new password (Great!). But if you log out of the site, and then log in with either Facebook or Username/Password and go to the change password tab again, you see again the ‘New Password’ field (this should show Old/New/Confirm Password fields now as password has already been set). Even though you have already set a password, it’s showing this ‘New Password’ bit twice. If you enter a password and press save though, it then refreshes the page to show Old/New/Confirm Password fields – to then enter the old password.
So it’s not 100% what you would expect but it does work eventually. It just repeats showing the ‘New Password’ field. That’s why I said it was a slight bug.
Thank you though for the fix. It is much better than before. So, that is great. And the plugin really is amazing!
Warmest regards.
Hi Stiofan,
Thank you for your reply and clarifying things.
The main issue is that the user that registers this way still has access to their profile area and can see the change password tab, but they have no old password to enter. And you get an error with whatever old password you try.
Any other site I have visited using social login allows you to still change the password within the account area after registration. This is the issue it now seems. It would not be an issue if they had the option. Expecting them to log out is just confusing as this process isn’t the norm (and I’ve used the internet a lot). Adding a note to the email is a short term solution. Thank you for your suggestion.
This is an example of another website if you would like to share it with the team, their account area once visited after registration – https://ibb.co/X8rWW8Y
And once the password is set – it reverts back to the regular change password tab.
I think this was overlooked and probably should be added in the future. I will probably disable social login for now and just use email as not to confuse users. I’m pretty logical so to me their user experience is impacted – and not everyone would check the welcome email.
Please let the team know, that would be great.
All the best.
Hi again,
Just to clarify, it works for normal email sign up. You get the email link to set the password and it is okay – as you are not logged in. It is for the social login, that it automatically logs in the user after registration, and that you then cannot set a password via the email link sent unless you log out again and click the link in the email.
Thanks

“Require Email Activation” in the Form Builder is also selected.
Thanks

In reply to: [Alphabetic Pagination] Can Users be paginated into pages by letter?Hello,
Thank you for the very quick reply. Is it a difficult process? that requires additional coding, or is the option within the plugin straightforward? That I choose the source (Users), and the plugin does it’s magic of creating the paginated pages by letter?
Many thanks,
M
