Yes, Allow Comments is checked. By back office I assume you me the Dashboard. The new comments are not visible there but the old ones are. This appears to be a database problem because I have two independent sites that access the same database. I haven’t changed the settings of either in quite some time. But this problem appeared about four days ago.
