If you’re still interested in helping I would really appreciate it.
I STILL cannot get this to work. I was considering starting again with an entirely new theme because I could not get the RSS feed to display properly. Can you please help?

I don’t quite understand what you’re suggesting.
Do I need to find the correct code to alter the A UL element?
As you say the list-style-position will not work. Is that because the UL are links?

I edited the just the main CSS Stylesheet

That still didn’t work.
Do you have any other suggestions. It stubborly stays exactly the same even when entering the above code…
What could be overriding it?

to the stylesheet but it didn’t work… ??

I tried in the sidebars2 php file too but that didn’t work either.

My css is not great at all so I know I’m just going wrong somewhere.

Could you please advise me on the right coed and where to put it please?

I’ve done this and I can see using firebug that the only CSS that is seems to be following #sidebar a
There’s no indication of style for the “rsswidget” at all in the inspect element area.

Please help.

I fixed it so no worries! If you search the web long enough you will find! Turns out all I needed to add was this little bit of code:

overflow: auto;

Perseverance.

What I may not have made clear was that in this instance I would like the wrap / container of the page to be all red (So all page content throughout the site would sit on red). I would then like the background of the site would be yellow.

The effect would be red pages on a yellow background.

Any help on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

I went into my page template.php (is this theequivalent?) but the code you specified didn’t seem to fit anywhere.
