I feel your pain, just got it resolved. My host fixed my DNS?? Not sure if I remember correctly (I think DNS), but now it seems okay. But, it is very frustrating, and I am sorry you have to deal with this. I hope it gets resolved. Best of luck.

OK, just had a friend over, who knows WordPress pretty well. As he explained to me, visitors to my site are not having the timing out problem. It is happening in the admin panel.

He explained how WP 3.6 did something new with the auto save – but it is causing my admin panel to time out when I am making a post. As a result, it is not allowing my image library to load as well.

Not sure if this is the correct reason, but it made sense the way he described it (which I probably did not do well here with my description).

But, what I will say, now that he brought it to my attention, every time I start to work on a post, when I see the auto save come up, everything times out.

I am not very knowledgeable in this area, so not sure what is correct, but I just hope this can fix itself somehow.

OK, so after dealing with this a few days – I realize the issue has become a connection / timing out issue. My html pages work fine, no issues. It is only my word press site that is having these issues.

Everything happened with the upgrade to 3.6.

Not sure what the solution is going to be, but hopefully with the next upgrade, this problem will disappear….hopefully.

Sorry to hear this PRG1945. I had a 75 minute phone call today with Go Daddy, who stated I basically need to wait until the next WP update to see if it fixes itself. They claim it is nothing on their end.

Then, they told me it is happening because I have too many images in my library, too many plugins, and an older theme which does not support 3.6.

I challenged them on this, and while they were on the phone, I took out 90% of my images, deactivated all my plugins, and used the basic theme suggested by WP.

Guess what, the same problem still existed.

This is completely frustrating, so if anyone else has other suggestions, or concepts that worked for them, please share.

[Please don’t post your issues on other people’s threads]

Esmi and others – now the new thing is a connection lost message that appears when I try to insert an image. I have attached a link to the exact message in a screenshot.

Does this image help at all?

Well, at least someone else is having this trouble other than me. Wish I had a fix for it.

esmi, just as a followup. I spoke with Go Daddy, and they increased my php, whatever that meant. I read to them what you suggested, and they responded with that.

But, I notice my site is still the same……

Hi esmi and others, just wanted to update you on what I have done over the last few hours…..as I have been so upset over this.

Spoke to my hosting provider in great length, went through some steps with them – all is well on this end.

Spoke to my local cable provider, did some troubleshooting with them, they resent all my connections, all is well.

Took off my antivirus on my computer to make sure it was not blocking any connections.

Disabled everything on my site- plugins etc.

But, the situation still exists. My WP site is slow, or will not load, have trouble posting to my blog, and most sad, my entire image library will not fully load, and if it does load some pictures, when I click ‘insert into post’ – it does not appear in my blog post.

    Don’t know what to do?

Just got off the phone with support, no errors to be found.

Now the new issue, sometimes the images appear, but when I click ‘Insert Into Post’ the image does not appear.

Still frustrated, but thank you to all of you for support.

Of interest now, if a small percentage of images do show up in my library, I test by clicking on one to place the image in my post, but the image will not appear after I click insert.

    Frustrated …..

Hi bemdesign, excellent point. I am well below my limit, so no worries there. Thank you for your thoughts.

Hi Esmi, how are you and thank you for your response. You contributed great things. I did all the above things you suggested earlier, but no luck. I am just so frustrated, as it all worked fine yesterday morning, then all of a sudden, stopped working.
