    That’s a good idea, but I would never know how to do that on my own. I do like my design, but I could not make it into a WP theme. Anyway, I thank you very much for your time and expertise. At least you helped me fix the nav bar issue. I think I will try finding a new theme, then upgrading to 2.1 again to see what happens.

    Edit: Do you like any of Andreas’ themes?

    Sorry I could not understand it. Just not a computer person. Thanks anyway. Could you recommend a new theme that may work better in WP 2.1 ? I don’t want to pick another unpopular one.

    Thank you. That appears to be what I encountered. I read it with interest, but I am not confident enough to fix it on my own. I am afraid I am too much of a beginner to apply what is stated there. Can you or anyone explain what I should do in beginner terms. Sorry for the stupidity….

    Thank you Moshu for your time. I edited something after your post, so I wanted to write it again. You may be the only one that can help me. What I wrote is below:

    “Moshu, while I have your ear, the reason why this problem occurred is because last night when I tried upgrading to the new WP 2.1, all the links on the top nav bar disappeared. Do you know why this happened, and what I can do to upgrade properly. I had to go back to my previous WP version to keep the page working properly.”

    Thank you Moshu for the feedback. It worked for the home page, no problem. You were also correct, when I tried it for the other pages (Terms and Contact), it removed it from the horizontal menu as well. Is there any way to do it for the other pages?

    I do have a plugin for a static front page, so I am not sure if that is important to know. Thank you in advance.

    Just tried looking at the index.php to fix this, but that was the wrong place. Not sure how to edit the theme….just too new to all this.

    Thank you Otto42. I am a total beginner at this. How do I edit the theme. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am learning.

    I just upgraded for the second time, and the same thing happened. I lost all the links on the top nav bar (home, terms, and contact). Can anyone tell me if I am doing anything wrong?

    Also, can anyone tell me how to get rid of the words Home, Terms, and Contact at the top of each page. For example, I do not want the word ‘Home’ at the top of the home page. Thanks to anyone who can help.

    Thanks. I have a footer.php, but no date appears there. I don’t know how to change the date. Here is what is in the footer. See below:

    <hr class=”low” />

    <!– footer …………………………… –>
    <div id=”footer”>

    <p>© Copyright <?php echo date(“Y”).” “; bloginfo(‘name’); ?>. All rights reserved.
    WordPress – <?php wp_loginout(); ?></p>
    <?php do_action(‘wp_footer’); ?>

    </div> <!– /footer –>

    </div> <!– /container –>

    </body>

    </html>

    Please correct me if I am wrong. I saw this:

    <p><strong /></p>

    at the end of my post. I took it out, and it looks great. Was this what was suggested? If yes, thank you very much. I know this was a noobie thing.

    I apologize. I am new to this. I understand what you said, but I can’t find it, and I am not quite sure how to fix it. I feel pretty stupid about this, again, my apologies. Any help for a beginner would be appreciated.
