I tried to reproduce the issue on the latest version of our plugin ( 4.8.2 ) and Polylang ( 1.8.1 ) but I failed to re-create this scenario. Can you let me know what steps did you follow ? Maybe I did something wrong.

Please confirm whether future feed items are imported on your website. If yes, and they do not display even after using the above filter, I would recommend you to get in touch by opening a support ticket from here.

We are aware of this PHP warning being logged in the log file, and we will be taking a look at it soon. But for now as a temporary fix, I would recommend you to prevent PHP warnings and notices from getting logged. This can be achieved by modifying PHP config file.

Did you permanently delete the imported feed items from the trash as well ? If not, then you will have to do so to re-import the feed items.

Once the posts are imported, they will not change when the feed source changes. The only way to refresh the content is by deleting the already imported post, and re-import.

Yes, you can shows thumbnails along with the feed item’s title and description by using the Excerpts & Thumbnail add-on. You just need to confirm whether the feed source from you are importing from contains thumbnails.

Feed Items are stored as Posts in the WordPress database, as they are nothing but a WordPress custom post type.
