In reply to: Remove rel = “noopener noreferrer” in wordpress 4.7.4I have always heard that you should keep internal links dofollow, especially if you want those posts to do well in google search:
https://www.labnol.org/internet/drop-nofollow-from-internal-links/14107/
So I still don’t understand why it would be recommended to leave the new feature intact that automatically makes our internal links nofollow if they open in a new tab. I’m not trying to harp on this issue; just want to make sure I completely understand the best course of action to take in terms of whether to disable the new feature. ??

In reply to: Remove rel = “noopener noreferrer” in wordpress 4.7.4Hi, yes I definitely understand why it’s good for external links… My worry is that internal links are now also being labeled as nofollow.
The internal links that open in a new tab (and I have many on old posts) are now all automatically set to noopener noreferrer. Isn’t this detrimental to a site’s SEO?

In reply to: Remove rel = “noopener noreferrer” in wordpress 4.7.4Hi Steve, and thanks so much for the information. Hopefully this is not a dumb question… but why would it not be recommended to change the feature? As long as we have already set our external links to nofollow, wouldn’t it be a bad idea to leave the TinyMCE feature as-is and have our internal links be nofollow?
Right now, the feature automatically set all of my internal links to noreferrer.

In reply to: Remove rel = “noopener noreferrer” in wordpress 4.7.4I’ve been having the same issue and had opened a topic about it yesterday. I tried disabling plugins, but the problem (which started right after the newest WordPress update) remained.
Inspecting the code of many other wordpress sites, I see the same thing for other sites so am thinking this is an issue related to the newest WordPress update… hopefully they know about it and are working on a fix (if it is indeed related to the update). I’m admittedly not the most tech-savvy person, but I don’t think having all of my internal links set to nofollow is ideal.

In reply to: Internal Links Are Suddenly NofollowThanks so much for the reply. I tried disabling the plugins, but unfortunately the issue (which started right after the newest WordPress update) remained.
However, I noticed when I used Chrome to inspect the code of a few other websites using the same theme (Genesis) that they seem to have the same “noopener noreferrer” in their internal links now too. I will do more research and will ask on the Genesis board. But if anyone happens to see this post and knows how to solve it, please feel free to reply!

In reply to: Stop “noopener noreferrer” tags from auto-insertHaving the same issue (ever since the latest wordpress update), except mine suddenly added “nofollow noopener noreferrer” to ALL links opening in a new tab, even internal links.
Is there a way to change it back so that internal links opening in a new page are switched back to dofollow links?

In reply to: Website ISN'T Hacked – But Readers Are Being Redirected Off My BlogUnfortunately, it doesn’t matter what ad network is running. No matter what network is running, the redirects still happen. So it’s not a specific network.

In reply to: Website ISN'T Hacked – But Readers Are Being Redirected Off My BlogRead through the link. Unfortunately, if this was an adsense issue then everybody would be having this problem. The linked article is talking about a problem from Jan and Feb 2015 that impacted the entire internet. Everybody was getting redirects and it was definitely an ad problem. The issue I’m dealing with is only happening on my site so it can’t be an internet-wide issue.
If this isn’t something that I should ask here on the wordpress forums, please feel free to take this topic down. I definitely don’t mean to ask something that isn’t relevant. No matter what, thank you for having replied.

In reply to: Website ISN'T Hacked – But Readers Are Being Redirected Off My BlogThank you very much. That does seem to be relevant to what I’m experiencing. I will go read through that thread now and hopefully I can figure it out from there. Thanks ??

In reply to: Website ISN'T Hacked – But Readers Are Being Redirected Off My BlogHi, as mentioned, I have mobile ads turned off completely right now, so no one will be able to replicate the problem at the moment. Sorry for the confusion.
Also as mentioned, my ad network is serving ads on many other sites and mine is the only one with the issue. Also, even if I only have adsense running, the redirects happen. It’s so strange!

In reply to: Help! No one can leave comments on my post! It’s happening right now in Safari…
I try to leave a comment on my most recent post and it won’t let me. But I can leave a comment on any other post. (And yes, the comments are turned on.)

In reply to: Help! No one can leave comments on my post!I leave comments on my blog all the time that aren’t blue, so I’m confused as to why it only sometimes (very rarely) shows up blue.
I can actually leave a comment now on my blog. It seems to ONLY be a problem for the first hour after I publish any post… :-/
(Also, thank you so much for taking the time to help me!)
