Never mind. I think I found an alternative solution.

This has become too unproductive and painful for me after all this time, and I need to move on.

I guess it was my bad luck to buy and download right after the new version came out, which probably makes it very difficult, if not impossible, to provide a fix for my file type.

I understand security, but why does it have to eliminate (rip off in my case?) the market with legitimate needs for these files?

I held out hope because a google search showed that it was possible to fix it. I’ll never buy open-source again if I can help it.

You know that I cannot use WordPress at all if it will not let me share my work. So when can I get a refund?

Its been two weeks and I still haven’t got a response from the plugin forum.

I wonder if you or anyone here can test the MSI file type and tell me if the plugin works for it.

That way I can at least know if the problem exists only at my end.

I am being honest here.

After many tries with your plugin, this still does not work for me.

It was on the plugin list and activated.

Still cannot add msi though.
I mean it gets added to the list, but it just doesn’t work on file upload – same message.

I tried disabling other plugins one at a time.

I tried to do what this guy did:

But don’t know if I did it right because he only offers clues, not exact syntax:

msword = application/msword
msi = application/msi
