In reply to: Nav bar and menu itemsI now Have the child theme but in the theme section I’m now told that I need to upload the parent theme??? WordPress then tells me that there is an error with the upload and it will not install it.
This is on a different site that I’m practising with not the website posted earlier. I want to try and get it correct before playing with a live website

It seems I have much to learn!
I would love to be able to get the right results by adding these css codes by myself.
I have heard of creating child themes and will do some research on this subject before making any alterations.
I have copied and pasted the existing css code from the theme editor to notepad in case things go wrong.
I’m not sure exactly where to paste the css codes that you have very kindly typed up for me.
The complex side of what you mention looks a bit mind boggling, but again I have to try and fix this issue completely.
Can you send me a link to your website and I’ll check it out?
Thanks again for your time and consideration with this issue.
I hope to sort this problem asap as obviously the site is live and is receiving some criticism, which is fair enough.Regards

Wow. I like the sound of your suggestions but implementing them is another story haha.
So in simple terms… Do I need to alter the positioning of the slider from ‘relative’ to something else? or, do I need to adjust the size of the image slider?
Changing the mobile query sounds like it could be beyond my knowledge abilities.
I really appreciate your help over this issueregards

In reply to: Nav bar and menu itemsThanks Ernest.
I understand your points.
putting the rev slider into the header section isn’t a problem but the person that will be using the site prefers it as it is, which I believe shouldn’t affect the menu items not staying in the navigation bar.
I would have thought that the menu and title would have shrunk down as it is a responsive theme.
Would it help if I removed the search box from the nav bar? if so how do I do it?
Would it help if I made the nav bar wider and placed a line break in to the site name?I am quite new at this web construction so please keep things simple for me haha.

Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: WordPress install from cPanelThanks. I have found a wordpress quick install now but when I log in the url it’s showing as eg https://mywebsite.com/wordpress . Can I remove the wordpress part of the title as it’s my domain name that I want not something that has wordpress in the url.
When I try to alter the name via the settings/general then I can’t seem to get back into the dashboard area!
