I have also tried adding

add_filter(‘widget_text’, ‘do_shortcode’);

to the file functions.php.

I can move the Extended TOC around uthe page using the shortcode [extoc] however it still will not work in the text widget and the [noextoc] shortcode doesn’t seen to hide the TOC in pages.

I just want to create a site that contains a basic overview of C, C++ and Java. You select a tab say Java and you are shown the first page about Java. On the left is a sidebar I would like the table of contents. I would like to be able to select say the C tab and you get the first page of the C book with a different table of contents.

I can do this for one book but I can’t get the tab selection to cause the table of contents to change in the left sidebar.
