Thanks,apologies. That was embarrassing. I clicked on “view all” and of course there it was (“Recent arrivals”). The categories are of different products… but now when I click on the “Our collection” menu heading the “recent arrivals” category isn’t there…but it’s in the drop down!

Sorry about the delayed response. I cleared the cache. Still no go. In the end I installed the Meta Slider plugin. Its OK but I still can’t have the slider to the side of the post…like I used to be able to with the default Virtue slider.

yes that’s the one. I will not touch the edit page ’til you can see it. This is strange because it used to work. I don’t think I’m leaving anything out.

Thanks a lot. That got rid of the error message and the cramped post page.
I had messed around with the “reading” in the Settings but that had somehow restored my image slider on the posts page. Now I’m back to my initial problem…no image slider on the posts page.

Hello again

I am now officially confused (not difficult). Under “reading” in Settings, I set my posts page as “Millefleurs news”. Nothing was selected before. As a result my color settings disappeared and my site became white…but my image slider was restored. But the post can no longer be set at full width nor full text and in any case when I press on “continue” I get the “bad request 400” message.
This posts page is giving me many happy moments.

Update: I have WP 4.0 and I’ve re-saved the permalinks. Still no go.
