In reply to: Remove user registration feature from network siteSo do you not want people to be able to register at all?
Because you will either need to edit the widget or find a WordPress network plugin that controls registration options or adds more options to the registration control settings.
I do not know of any other settings to turn off the registration throughout your network.

In reply to: Remove user registration feature from network siteHave you tried that link? I have tested it, and if someone clicks on that link then they will be registered for a new site under the main site network…They will not be registered as a new site under a network site.
If you do not want that option to appear in the sidebar you will need to remove that option from the Twenty Ten theme using the theme editor and going into the sidebar.php file and remove the code for the Meta section that looks like this
<?php wp_register(); ?>

In reply to: Remove user registration feature from network siteIf someone tries to register for your site when they are at one of your network sites the should be redirected to yourmaindomain.com/wp-signup.php
Make sure that the radio suggesting that “Both sites and user accounts can be registered.” Then I like to uncheck the box just below that that says “Allow site administrators to add new users to their site via the “Users->Add New” page.”
Are people currently registering for new sites under your network user sites?

In reply to: Remove user registration feature from network siteIf I understand your request correctly, you only want people to have the option of registering for a user account and blog under the main site. So no one should be able to register a user name or account under one of your network blogs…Is that right?
Are you using WordPress 3.0+ or the old WPMU?
For WP 3.0+:
Go to supper admin in the sidebar of your dashboard, then click on options from the drop down menu, find the section labeled “Registration Settings”, the first options are where you control how people register.
If you are using WPMU (old school version) let me know and I will see what I can figure out..
Let me know if this helps…

In reply to: How to Change the theme on a blogAll you need to do is install a new theme and activate it…
In your dashboard you can go to Appearance -> Themes -> search for the theme you want and install it, or if you have downloaded the theme to your computer you can upload it (must be a .zip file) in the same location.
Try this video…

In reply to: Twenty Ten – remove category from base of post?Joshua,
Are you sure that “Good Reviews” is not associated with the share plugin you are using or some other plugin? If you look at your post it displays the categories associated with each post below the good reviews link, which leads me to believe It is not part of the Twenty Ten Them…
When I look at the source code this is what is displayed
<p class='silo'><a href="https://www.global-review.com/category/good-review/" title="Good Review">Good Review</a><br></p>
Let me know what you find…

In reply to: second blog not linking to main siteI get lost here: arika_dreamhosters_com1 I am not sure what this is? Is your domain name arika.dreamhosters.com/?
It looks like your main WordPress is installed in a sub-director and not the root (main) directory of your site…It seems like the problem has something to do with the way you your hosting is set up?

In reply to: second blog not linking to main siteWhat happens when you go to the website, not the dashboard? Does the site show up or do you see the same error message?
So you have WordPress 3.0 installed, you activated Networks, you have one WordPress website installed at example.com and a new one and example.com/blog…Am I understanding this right?
I would delete that site, sense you have not added content or anything yet…
Super Admin -> Sites -> hoover over the site title -> click delete -> confirm
Then start over…
Supper Admin -> Sites -> Bottom of page Add Site -> Fill in the details -> Click Add Site
If your new one messes up again then there is a problem somewhere else…probably with your Network setup.
Here is one other thing you could check before deleting…
Super Admin -> Sites -> hoover over the site you want to edit-> click edit -> Find the section “Site Options” -> Scroll through and make sure all the url’s are properly displayed as they should be, so they are like the one you set in the section “Site Info”…

In reply to: Page Displays with Text and Links onlySo you setup WordPress on your local machine and then converted it to your server?
When I go to https://www.pulppsychology.com/wp-admin, it tries to redirect me to, https://localhost/wp-login.php which is not a proper location. It should take me to https://www.pulppsychology.com/wp-login.php, so I wonder if there are some links in your database that did not convert properly….
If I go directly to https://www.pulppsychology.com/wp-login.php it gives me the login page, but the page does not display properly. Meaning their is no default WordPress login style.
At this point it would not hurt to start over…However I would delete everything from the server, clear the database and load fresh files into your server (via FTP) and then follow the WordPress install instructions that will setup, install and create your wp-config file for you.
That would be the easiest solution in my opinion.
Best of luck! Let me know if you have more questions

In reply to: Page Displays with Text and Links onlySeems to me like something went wrong in the install process…
Can you login to your WordPress dashboard? Did you automatically install WordPress through your hosting company or did you install it manually?
