In reply to: [WooCommerce] Problems After Update: Price Disappears When Variations Chosen@akogts
I did mine using the manual method as only had 5 of them but I did see the number of drop-down boxes you had (3) on those wet suits, so could see all that data that would be needed.I think there wasn’t a clear cut error or fix pushed out by the developers as mike reported seeing no issues following the update. I’m thinking that woo commerce 4.2.3 update set or enforced the required field Regular price on each variable item.
It wasn’t until mike showed me where that variable price box was that I understood what had gone wrong and I was able to make it show the product information (web page) correctly. Using the manual method go into your variable product data and remove the price, you should find that produced web page will show an error.
I wouldn’t think using the bulk upload option was wrong or caused the problem in your case it was needed. Well it might of caused problems, as having to price each and every variation of a product due to the required price field. It might have just missed some and not having the price causes the product web page to show errors.
I mean does a XL large wetsuit cost more to produce than a small one?
In relation to someone selling T-shirts they could charge £5 for a small and £15 for a large in the same colour and style. It seems strange to me to price items upon it variance. In my store, I had the type of power lead needed, I could charged (say £2) for each type of power lead required. The required variations price field has given us the store owners that flexibility. The main thing to remember when using word-press and woo commerce, it’s just a large Content Management System which produces a web page.
Imagine a mixing bowl into which all the code, product data and functional requirements goes into and then being placed in oven to produce a cake (web page). Sometimes if you keep making small changes to values in the form or have needed updates added it can upset the mix.I found when I turned off the woo commerce plug-in and then back on it solved a issue I was having with layout of my products within the product display area of woo commerce.

I think you will find that you need to enter the price in each of the variations, even if it’s same price for each one.
As it’s a required field, without it just won’t work and produce the web page that you require.
When I added prices to mine, I missed one and the price was shown as £620-627
Give it a go. I’m thinking you will find that we are having the the same issue. As it’s usability problem rather than a coding problem.@mike Thanks for your help, I’m supporting by using the woo commence plug-in, which once I get to know it will work well for me.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Problems After Update: Price Disappears When Variations ChosenOk, I wasn’t aware that you were the lead developer.
Also aware that you code 24/7 and give support for free; I have done 1st line support upon a NHS service desk and fixed computer problems and have a IT degree in Software Engineering, so I know where you coming from.If you take a look at this picture, it’s was a case I didn’t know or understand where to look or do in order to make it work, also needed to hover mouse over that area for it to show that icon.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15542210/woo_working.pngOnce I found these other options and added those required fields,
I now have a working web page which shows the values as needed. see the page below. whoo hooo!! ??
https://www.3dprintandstuff.co.uk/shop/ormerod-2-3d-printer-hardware-kit/Maybe it’s a case of RTFM but I have only just started using woo commence and just wish for it to work without the need to constantly report bugs or deal with errors. Getting one-line responses to technical need to know answers to just bugs me.
One liners are for comics doing stand-up not support forums.Yes I understand for some people things should be simple, easy to use and look good but humans are complex and wonderful beings whereas as machine driven websites and producing code and documentation, are like a 4-year old trying to make tea!! Machines just can’t be told how it works and need to understand without avoiding every question asked.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Problems After Update: Price Disappears When Variations ChosenAre you serious ? Are you saying that there is no problem?
I can’t see WHERE TO SET THE PRICE when product data is in variable product mode. This is my issue.
In simple product mode, the regular price box is under the SKU box inside the general tab.
How can the above pictures be correct? Can you screen dump your view using the PrtSc screen button on your keyboard. I have no idea where to enter the price when producing a variable product, just can’t see a box. Please provide better information so I’ able to find this box.
Having price-set-per-variation seems a bit complex; All I need is a drop-down box in which my customer can tell me which power lead type they need and that doesn’t change the price.
If you can’t fix this then please pass it on to someone who can.
Has James had any thoughts on this?An update
I have looked at the release notes in the latest update and seen that the page post.php has been revised and that’s where I believe the problem is, it’s a layout error or missing bracket or more than symbol, which is causing the regular price box to be hidden.Forum: Plugins

woo commerce is broken in the product editor area. The price is set in simple product, not able to set a price in variable; that’s the problem. If a data field in a form is required, it should stop the page from being updated. that’s basic form validation stuff.

Only things active on my word press site are the store-front theme and woo-commerce and all variables for product are set.
It’s a problem across all themes as the error is still visible until an update clears or removes the cause. Will there be an update soon to fix this?

here are the links
edit product page in wp-admin in woo commerce
https://www.3dprintandstuff.co.uk/wp-admin/post.php?post=126&action=editIn product data select variable product; no regular price, (it disappears, just the SKU box in general box) box then update the page and view product, result you get is no price shown and combo box doesn’t work, even though the variations are set for the type of plug.

I have a similar problem price disappears when having variable productsI have deactivated all other plug-ins and using the store-front theme 1.4.6, also just applied the latest woo commerce update so now running 2.4.4 but still have the problem.
Believe I was able to break woo commerce 2.4.3 when I changed a simple product in my store to a variable product with no stock, it showed an error but not remember what it stated;
This problem came about after applying 2.4.3 update, now in the product editor I only have the SKU box in the general when variable product data is selected. See my first post.Is there a way to “restart” the woo commerce plug-in? As it seems that this issue could be caused by dirty (contains layout errors) code being generated or left behind when switching from simple to variable products.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Problems After Update: Price Disappears When Variations ChosenHI All,
@akogts I clicked the link to your T-shirt store and the price ($18) was shown briefly at the top after pressing the “add to cart” button.
I’m not a developer involved in support Woo Commerce, just an average techie shop owner with the same issue. The price and variations data disappears after the latest update.
If you “edit a product” scroll down to product data and then select “variable product” and in the general tab area all you see is the SKU box. The general price has gone, this breaks adding variable items.
As if you select “simple product” back comes the regular price box. Also upon the product page(with the variable product option selected) it shows the drop-down combo box but no variations are shown.
I have also turned off all other plug-ins and used the default theme but the issue is still there.
Is their a way to roll-back an update? As it seems that caused this problem.
Thanks and hoping for a quick fix or update
