I do not have any other email plugin installed, so it must be from Fluent?
Any follow up on this? No extra form plugin besides Fluent SMTP is being used here
OK, I use two Fluent SMTP e-mail settings as senders, two different e-mail accounts from the websites own domain. One as default connection, the other as fallback, but the default is working, both are from the default sender.
Compression is not the problem. I found the culprit. I am using NS Minimal Theme with a file in it:
../themes/ns-minimal/js/retina.js
where a suffix is placedretinaImageSuffix : '@2x'
After emptying this suffix in the file the problem is solved. It is strange as other@2x
suffixes are used in a lot of plugins and they do not give any problem.Tnx and Good luck!
No. I have installed php mbstring module and enabled it. Installed the new version again. Now everything is working. Tnx a lot!
Well I certainly would not call a stable PHP version in mainstream distributions “problematic” Millions of people are using this version … What about some workaround to give Nextgen’s functionality to all those people….
I’ve tried this version but going to the settings page does give an empty page. In the error log this:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function blobfolio\\wp\\meow\\vendor\\common\\ref\\mb_check_encoding() in wordpress/wp-content/plugins/apocalypse-meow/lib/vendor/blobfolio/blob-common/lib/blobfolio/common/ref/sanitize.php:2\nStack trace:\n#0 wordpress/wp-content/plugins/apocalypse-meow/lib/vendor/blobfolio/blob-common/lib/blobfolio/common/ref/sanitize.php(2): blobfolio\\wp\\meow\\vendor\\common\\ref\\sanitize::utf8('meow_ajax_setti...')\n#1 wordpress/wp-content/plugins/apocalypse-meow/lib/vendor/blobfolio/blob-common/lib/blobfolio/common/ref/sanitize.php(2): blobfolio\\wp\\meow\\vendor\\common\\ref\\sanitize::utf8(Array)\n#2 wordpress/wp-content/plugins/apocalypse-meow/lib/vendor/blobfolio/blob-common/lib/blobfolio/common/ref/sanitize.php(2): blobfolio\\wp\\meow\\vendor\\common\\ref\\sanitize::utf8(Array)\n#3 wordpress/wp-content/plugins/apocalypse-meow/admin/settings.php(368): blobfolio\\wp\\meow\\vendor\\common\\ref\\sanitize::utf8(Array)\n#4 in wordpress/wp-content/plugins/apocalypse-meow/lib/vendor/blobfolio/blob-common/lib/blobfolio/common/ref/sanitize.php on line 2, referer: https://xxxxxx/wp-admin/admin.php?page=meow-settings

Maybe it’s an option of fixing this error on nextgen-gallery plugin itself as long as php 7.2 is not mainstream in the major distributions?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Apocalypse Meow] Login blockedI have installed 21.2.8 and looks like the error is gone now.
The php 7.2 release has been released just now on 30th of November 2017 and is not included in the major OS-es (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS…) stable releases yet.
@imagely Tnx for all the info and explanation. Looks like the PHP team hasn’t solved this problem yet. Keeping php downgraded for now still is the solution
Downgrading PHP version to 7.0.25 temporarily handles this problem indeed, but I agree that the NGG developer Team (and maybe the PHP developers) has to solve this as downgrading vital packages isn’t a solid solution.
Tnx a lot, missed that one.
Maybe disable user registration by default, it’s a lot safer!
