Apologies for the delay but there is now an update that should address the issues faced after updating to v4.4.

Where you previously used:
[infopopup:mytag]

You will need to change this (in WP4.4. and above) to:
[infopopup tag=mytag]

As the README states, we have already been informed that there may be an incompatability between this new version of the plugin and reCAPTCHA by BestWebSoft, which I will look into as soon as I’m able.

Other suggestions and feedback will be looked at in early 2016 when we will making the plugin a bit more full-featured.

Hi Michelle, thanks for the comments.

I’m sorry that you’re having problems with styling the popup – we have made some changes to the implementation of CSS and jQuery, in response to comments from other users who found that there were sometimes conflicts with other plugins.

If you haven’t been able to find the perfect tooltip plugin elsewhere, I hope that these recent changes mean ours now fits your needs. If it doesn’t, I’d be happy to look into the problems you’re having and see what we can do to get things working properly for you… and potentially other users who may be experiencing the same issues!
