I’m also getting the error message:

Unable to find the number of public blogs for the site_id = 1.

The blogs are set to discourage search engines, but otherwise they are public.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

@breti Sincere apologies. I realise now that I didn’t pay attention when you said “bold and/or underlined”. I happened to be formatting as italics, which was ineffective. I’ve now made my signature bold and the images and text gets through no matter what. The same goes for bolding all or part of the email body. Thanks for the thorough investigation and apologies for my sloppy testing!

I have just managed to repeat your success, but only by selecting ALL the text in the email (including the signature) and then formatting; previously, I only formatted the text above the image and/or the signature below the image, however, the area where the image was inserted was not formatted. When I inserted the image into a formatted area of the email, bing, the text gets though! I’ll keep testing from this end.

@breti I hate to be a kill joy, but I’ve just tried your suggestion of reformatting the signature (in this case, italics) but still the text is being stripped from the email; only the image remains. The same is true if I format text in the email body. ??

@breti I’ve just read those instructions and they are exactly, to the letter, the same as what I did. Postie is also set to HTML. But the text is doesn’t make it to the post after Postie processing.

I am getting a different result.

When I follow your instructions: “create the email message from within mail app itself and then insert pictures by pressing and holding where you want the picture, then wait for the formatting bar to pop up and then select INSERT PICTURE OR VIDEO”

The text does not appear. I’m yet to find a scenario where text and photos sent together work in the iOS mail app.

Can others confirm that this issue only happens when photos (or other files?) are attached to the email?

This appears to be before the problem started. Don’t forget to clear your calendar cache.

Is this issue planned to be fixed in the next update? I have several client sites with this glaring error displaying.

I’ve fixed the problem by recompiling PHP with mb string enabled, as instructed here:
