So that I could put this issue to rest and move forward, I found another plugin that does the job. I don’t know what the trouble was; I used your plugin with my other WordPress account for about a year I think, without any issues at all. Looked good (much better than other free plugins I’ve seen) and did the job without issues.
Thank you for your response!

In reply to: [Coming Soon Chop Chop] Saved & Closed… where did my content go?I’m disappointed to have lost all the text and settings, but what’s done is done; it definitely wasn’t coming back, so I went ahead this morning and began anew (with a much simpler content this time), and everything saved as it should have. All I can think is that the plugin crashed when I saved and closed last time, taking my content with it. (When clicked “Customize,” it opened to your default text over my background image.) Thanks for your effort on this; I appreciate it.
As an aside, I don’t know that this is possible, but it would be *great* to be able to test fonts right on the page, without having to apply one of a huge number of random fonts from the drop down, save and close, and open again to see what your text looks like with the selected font. Minimally, if it can be done, it would be helpful for each selection on the font list to appear in that given font.
Thanks again!
Oh, of course. :Z Thank you so much for taking time to look into something that should have been obvious to me. I appreciate your help — and your kind response, given my question!

In reply to: [Coming Soon Chop Chop] Saved & Closed… where did my content go?The cache has been cleared multiple times since the problem occurred. Again, I do want the page to show of course, but even more importantly, I very much want to know where my content went. The cache could be thought to be the issue if the content I created (my edit of the default page) could be found in WordPress somewhere; it would just be a question of why the page, with my new content, isn’t pushing out to the web. But it isn’t just that the content I have isn’t appearing when I go to my site; it’s that I can’t even find it within WordPress. All that seems to have saved is the background image I selected. So, if it actually saved when I clicked “save & close,” where is it? Where do I go to access the page, say, if I want to edit it?
Thanks!

In reply to: Shares to FB show old WP username as authorGive that man a million bucks. Wish I’d have posted the question sooner!
Still on topic… I guess this is now beside the point since you already saved the day for me, but if you have a moment: when I first visited the debugger, it showed all the old info (as you knew it would ?? ). When I clicked, “Fetch new scrape information,” the info updated and sure enough, when I link on Facebook, my name appears instead of the email address I wanted to go away. So, problem solved. But *why*? What exactly happens when you click that “Fetch new scrape” button?
Thanks so much for the quick — and helpful — response!
