When I did a search on this problem I found multiple threads that purported to solve this problem. This is the correct way to do it. Don’t edit the file directly which could be overwritten in a subsequent update to the plugin.

I finally went in to phpmyadmin and changed the username of my account. I was able to login after that. I learned a leasson. The username I had started with is all over the Internet for various things. After I changed the username to something less obvious I stopped getting the brute force username lockout.

Hold the shift key down and reload the page after you have created new thumbnails. That should load the thumbnails properly.

Never mind. I cleared it up.

I just reuploaded all the files and the errors went away. phew!

I did manage to delete the plugin, but I am still getting the errors.

If I try to write a post now, I get the following error when it tries to save a draft:

I’m talking about the old plugin. I tried deactivating it when I first got the errors, but all I got was a blank page with more errors. So I went back using the browser back button where it still appeared activated. Then I renamed it. Reloaded the page, and all but the one line of errors went away so I thought that was progress.

Anybody? It’s really frustrating.

I finally just re-uploaded the whole wp-includes directory. Then I was able to get a new feed. This means everyone else will probably have to re-subscribe as well. I guess I will find out if I have any loyal readers…

I have done that. In fact, I had deleted all files and uploaded all new files from 2.2.

Tried that. Didn’t change. Is it possible it’s my .htaccess file which I had trouble with earlier? Htis is what’s in the file:

I’ve done that. I only had 2 active plugins. Deactivating them didn’t change anything.

Thanks Dgold. But that didn’t work. I only had a few plugins. I turned them all off and still no xml.

Thanks. OK. I have archives back. But now I am not able to get my RSS reader to read the XML file.
