In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Messing up css and genesis layoutI suspect I have the same problem on my genesis site, but I’m getting the impression that support for this plugin has ended. Time to move to another…

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] cache error after deactivating pluginI’ve got this problem on my site https://www.bestvalueconveyancing.co.uk too.
On attempting to delete plugin I got total white screen error.
Any ideas?
Many thanks.

In reply to: [Query Wrangler] Update has broken siteActually, I’ve just discovered how to use Genesis to do the same thing, so I’m removing QW from the testimonials page.
Feel free to investigate further however, to resolve the issue more generally. I have several other sites which use it and aren’t on Genesis!

In reply to: [Query Wrangler] Update has broken siteHi – I don’t think my queries are anything special. I have a couple of blog categories, and use QW to display posts from the two categories on the blog page.
I don’t really understand why the problem is affecting the homepage, because I don’t use QW there (the Genesis Featured Posts widget handles that). So when the problem arises it is somehow replacing my static homepage with a list of posts from a category which is not normally displayed on the homepage.
Instead, it is directing to a load of testimonial posts which normally appear here.
Do you have an email address? I don’t want to post backend code such as queries on the open net.
Thanks as ever.

In reply to: [Query Wrangler] Update has broken siteReally sorry, but it’s still broken (and I’ve made sure I’ve cleared all caches etc, both on computer and on the site itself).
Somehow it seems to be changing the content of the homepage from the usual static content, to just a list of one particular category of posts. None of the other content on the homepage is being displayed.

In reply to: [Query Wrangler] Update has broken siteThanks. I hope it’s not too much of a pain! Generally I think QW is a great plugin – I use it on all my sites – so it’d be good to get it fixed.

In reply to: [Query Wrangler] Update has broken siteThanks for looking into it – I’m afraid it’s still broken.
If I activate the plugin my homepage is totally broken, with a long list of this:
Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in /home/workercl/public_html/bestvalueconveyancing.co.uk/wp-includes/nav-menu-template.php on line 564
Thereafter the rest of my normal homepage content is not displayed, and instead I get a list of posts from a particular category, which are not normally displayed on the homepage.
Deactivate the plugin and things are back to normal.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Calculated Fields Form] conditional display of messageGreat plugin – thanks for all the hard work.
Just following up to the above question, although it’s great that a chosen option can lead to a further question as a dependency, as I understand it only a single further field can be displayed, rather than a series.
It would be good if whole sections could be chosen as dependencies, i.e. if I choose option A then a further 5 questions are displayed.

In reply to: [Jazzy Forms] HTML emailsJust tested our forms with WP Better Emails and it looks much better – really pleased! Thanks Joelouis for the suggestion! ??

In reply to: [Jazzy Forms] HTML emailsHi Loev & Joelouis – I’ve wanted this function for ages and it was on Igor’s To Do list I think.
Does WP Better Emails change the emails which Jazzy Forms sends? I have some quite complicated emails which bring in a lot of data from the forms.
If WP Better Emails can achieve that I’d be overjoyed!

In reply to: [Facebook] Customize Open Graph protocol for your site or networkI have to say that it is surprising that for something which would be as popular as Facebook, with a function as basic and obvious as choosing what image you want displayed for your site’s likes, we seem to be expected to be dabbling in changing code and php files.
This is seriously annoying – I spend time designing a logo for my firm’s [link moderated] online conveyancing site, expecting it to be used in any likes the site attracts, and yet what I get is the Lexcel logo and not the one I spent time on.
I would strongly suggest that a basic and obvious function for the plugin is to specify a default image as part of the settings.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Jazzy Forms] Problems with spacing and stylingHi all,
I’m not an expert on all this, but I found it worked ok if you use the html boxes rather than heading boxes.
Also, if you have a hidden element make sure you don’t have “start new row” selected because even if your formula isn’t visible it still adds an extra space.
Still, very powerful plugin. Just needs those finishing touches when Igor has a moment! (html email for example)
Best wishes to all.

In reply to: [Jazzy Forms] [Plugin: Jazzy Forms] Creating new forms from old onesI could really do with the same feature! I’ve got some really long forms and I don’t want to have to do them again from scratch.
Thanks for an excellent plugin though.

In reply to: [Jazzy Forms] Where can I see this forms?I haven’t finished my site, but the awesome power of this plugin can be seen from this law firm’s online conveyancing quote pages.
The form places all the HTML in the right place, calculates all of the different options (some quite complicated nested IF formulae there…) and then provides the total quote.
The email gives a fully itemised quote with all of the different variables and a whole lot of other custom text.
So it really is a great plugin.
Just need to add a few things to make it perfect:
a) Ability to clone forms so that they don’t have to be recreated from scratch;
b) Captcha and or Akismet to block spam
c) HTML in the emails it can send so that a full corporate image can be created
d) Conditional showing of dialogue boxes so that questions can be asked when necessary but not otherwise. It’d be nice to hear from Igor about how plans for this are going.
Thanks,
Chris

In reply to: [Jazzy Forms] [Plugin: Jazzy Forms] CaptchaHi Igor,
I’d also be pleased if there can be a Captcha to hold the bots at bay.
How about Akismet support as well?
Thanks,
Chris
