I believe I may have found the common thread between images that don’t show. They all have special characters in them, such as open and close parentheses (, and ).
This site literally has thousands of images (it’s a life gallery for a large family). Over 19,000, to be more exact. There’s no way I or the site’s owner can scour this manually to remove all special characters. Is there something in the plugin that I can “child-page” or manually override that would let the plugin tolerate these special characters?
Yes, unfortunately I’ve tried all of that, with no change in symptoms.
I was hoping it was a simple caching error, but that turned out to not be the case, either. I have also verified that the files are still there.
The strange part of this is when you look at the pages where a picture is not being shown, it has the correct URL for the image, both thumbnail and full-size, but for some reason they don’t render, and if you click a thumb to see the full size image, you get nothing. Yet other images (sometimes in the same gallery) will show both thumb and full-size without error. Strange…
V2.0.77.3, I believe…

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] In IE, Focus moves up the page on SendThanks for the reply. I really do appreciate your help with this. I have validated my code on this page (no errors), using https://validator.w3.org/, but the focus still moves up the page only in IE when I click Send… validation is NOT the issue, I’m afraid.

In reply to: [Reviews Block for Google] How to find "Location Lookup" info?I am trying to set up the Google Places Reviews widget. One of the fields that I am supposed to fill in is “Location Lookup.” Where do I find this information? I’ve tried putting a number of different things in the field and nothing gets saved (so of course the widget doesn’t do anything).

In reply to: [PageLines] FYI your website is brokenJust bad timing for me to want to see your site at that precise time, eh? Sorry I caught you with your site down, but I’m glad it wasn’t serious.
Nevermind. Solution:

Cool! It’d make this project really powerful, IMO.
Dalton,
I did test the development version you published. It does appear to circumvent the Elegant Themes settings, and I did not experience any other bugs, so I would recommend publishing!
I believe you can set “Blog pages show at most” to -1, and it will never limit the number of posts in an archive or blog page. It’s prone to slow down page loading with long lists, though, so use it wisely.

exact same problem.I’ve found a solution to this problem. When using any Elegant Themes theme, they have a setting on the ePanel General Settings tab which limits the number of posts on Archive pages (ET has settings for other listing groups, too…). I removed the number from that field, saved my changes, and the problem is gone.
If you’re using these themes or any premium themes that have a lot of admin settings, look for a similar setting and remove it, and your FAQ sorted by categories should show correctly!
Definitely this problem is related to the theme. When I switch to Twenty Eleven, the problem is gone, and it returns as soon as I switch back to the elegant themes. I’m emailing you the theme, Dalton. I’ve tried both the default page template and the full width, with identical results, so I’m guessing the issue is probably in the loop somewhere. Thanks for looking into this!
