Also, an url shorthening option would be awesome … to leave the space for a higher number of words to be shared. And coupled with that another setting to specify the number of words the plugin can pick from the shared text. I’m always in the situation to select a text bigger than the number of the tweet available caracters.

I have the same question. Although the plugin appears to be working with WP 4.1 I’m not confident everything works as it should and this is the nicest plugin over here.

Ok I understand you but 300x200px it was just an example. I’ll try that but I’m not shure it will help me that much because I’m not shure the original images from the feed have all the same size, to not look distorted.

Unfortunatelly I can’t provide a link now because my site is in maintenance mode untill I finish to add everything over there( at the beggining of January switched from WordPress to Joomla and after I saw I takes me too much time to maintan my site on Joomla switched back, 2 days ago).

Maybe I ca explain it better. When I add a feed widget and set the thumbnails at a smaller size( let’s say 48px) I like the output, that they are square.

When I want the thumbnails to take whole widget width, in my case 300px( the feed I want to output that way is from a photo site) I don’t want the plugin to make square images like it does now but proportionally images. If the original is 600x300px the output to be 300px200px( or something like that), not 300x300px with left and right margins being cut.

I sorted out the problem. Since wordpress galleries aren’t responsive by default, I had also installed a plugin that adds masonry to WP gallery( this one https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/jquery-masonry-image-gallery/ ). And it added it’s style to WP galleries as normal and to related posts since they shared almost everything, but only to the ones under the articles containing a gallery, not all of them and I had different styling for your plugin output.

Now I disabled masonry and sadly lost my galleries responsiveness but things look as they should, I guess. As you may see https://goo.gl/GHNWCB

Yes I choosed Max Resolution. So, I guess this is the solve to my problem and the topic can be closed.

I use the normal shortcode. My theme has a feature called hooks where I can put HTML stuff and shortcodes on different theme places( header, after header, before sidebar, after sidebar, before post title …etc).

@mark Cahill The feed error occurs in Firefox. On other browsers is fine.

Update: On the settings page I saw a button with “Update Posts” and boom, now the cover has the same dimensions as the video.

Since I thought to disable lazy load on articles just if the problem had no fix( and it was fixed), the topic is resolved.

I saw you pushed an update for the plugin. Donno if this is the one you told me about, with 4:3 videos feature but things look better on archive page, as you cand see( the same links). On single post though, the thumbnail it’s still not as tall as the video. The play button may look off center but actually is right in the middle of the real video.
