@mplusb I have removed the code from step 1 now. The code you gave me before did remove the link but not ‘Created for free using WordPress and‘. Thank you.

@mplusb thank you. The code you gave me only removes the colibri link and leaves the text ‘Created for free using WordPress and‘. Is there some more code I need to add to remove this line?

    Hi Mark

I have just also found out that after disabling each plugin one at a time that one of my plugins is creating a problem. It is called NextGEN Gallery by Imagely. However when I disable it I get the following error message just on the blog page:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function puresimple_posted_on() in /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/soul-arena.co.uk/wp-content/themes/pure-simple/partials/blog-style.php:68 Stack trace: #0 /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/soul-arena.co.uk/wp-includes/template.php(724): require() #1 /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/soul-arena.co.uk/wp-includes/template.php(671): load_template(‘/home/peekaboo1…’, false) #2 /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/soul-arena.co.uk/wp-includes/general-template.php(168): locate_template(Array, true, false) #3 /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/soul-arena.co.uk/wp-content/themes/pure-simple/content.php(12): get_template_part(‘partials/blog-s…’) #4 /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/soul-arena.co.uk/wp-includes/template.php(724): require(‘/home/peekaboo1…’) #5 /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/soul-arena.co.uk/wp-includes/template.php(671): load_template(‘/home/peekaboo1…’, false) #6 /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/soul-arena.co.uk/wp-includes/general-template.php(168): locate_template(Array, true, in /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/soul-arena.co.uk/wp-content/themes/pure-simple/partials/blog-style.php on line 68

But when I reactivate it, I only have the first blog post as described before which wont show the post information, just the title.

    Thanks Charlotte

    Hi Mark

I have posted on the Pure and Simple forum but had no replies. I have created another test post and it appears that only the last post shows on the blog page. Could this be something simple in the settings.

I have tested that all my blog posts are listed in the Dashboard area and all open with full preview.

Thank you for your guidance, Charlotte

    Hi Mark

Thank you for your guidance. I didn’t realise themes had specific forums so I have posted on there and will try out your suggestions.

    Hi oglekler

I tried the backup and I still get the error message and another message in red stating that the backup failed.

I’m not sure how to update WordPress manually. I can research this but just to be sure have you got an easy to follow tutorial link please.

    Many thanks

    Hello t-p

The tutorial was easy to follow, however, I have tried both methods using the FTP Manager and the PHPMyAdmin and I still cant login to my dashboard because I am getting the following message:

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function nocache_headers() in /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/cusopmillcottage.co.uk/wp-admin/admin.php:33 Stack trace: #0 /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/cusopmillcottage.co.uk/wp-admin/index.php(10): require_once() #1 {main} thrown in /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/cusopmillcottage.co.uk/wp-admin/admin.php on line 33

I think this message is showing me there is something wrong with the admin.php? Is there anything else I can try?

    Thank you, Charlotte

I am trying to reset my plugins manually in order to be able to login the the dashboard after a fetal error in my original message.

After going to PHPMyAdmin to disable the plugins as described in the link I was given I need to replace the option_value field to: a:0:{}, which I am not entirely sure how to do because this field only allows a drop down menu of specific options.

    Any guidance is appreciated

    Thank you, Charlotte

    Hi t-p

    Thank for for your guidance.

the website was showing a http 500 error so after reading some stuff on the Internet, I tried to restore a backup of the website, which I had used before and worked fin but this time I had a fetal error.

I will follow your links to see if I can reset the plugins.

    Thank you

Is there no support for this issue. I am not sure if I am meant to be deleting something in the FTP or the wp-login.php.

I would be grateful for any assistance.
