    Thank you Frutke

I have received this google warning email for one of my wordpress websites. Strangely was that one has updated few days earlier to the latest wordpress version, the other wasn’t and it has google cannot access CSS JS files warning. I have been reading so many articles for solution to fix this problem for a week. Finally I have collected enough information and ready to edit the robots file. Then I think i should update the second website with latest wordpress version before I fixe this robots file issue. When update to the latest wordpress version on the second website has done, I checked the good fetch and render to see what happened. It actually has changed the code and google was able to access CSS JS file. So I think I do not need to fix robots file issue. But there was a gray press bottom after google fetched and rendered to ask me submit to index.
Should I submit it to index? Thanks for the help.

Hi, I have a very helpful reply from BackUPWordPress developer, see below. I just like to share this information. Hope this helps other wordpress users who were in the same situation as I had encountered.

Thanks for getting in touch with us.
So the FTP details prompt you’re talking about is from WordPress, not our plugin. WordPress sometimes requires the FTP details to install the plugin, so it’s perfectly safe to fill in the details.

Hmmm, looks like no one has encountered the same situation as mine. I will send email to the plugin developer of backupwordpress to seek a help. Once I have the reply from plugin developer, I will share the information over here, so that any one who experiences the same situation as mine knows how to cope this problem.

Hi there, I have tried to search answer this whole day, from any possible websites, regarding deleting backup to dropbox on wordpress website. No luck for me. Look like it is a dead end. I can not bear with my current existing website theme any more and really wanted to change it to customizr 2013 theme. Can any one be kind to help me with above issue ! thank you so much. Without back up my database, I can not change to new theme. I would like to use backupwordpress plugin to back up the whole database to my local pc. Thank you soooooooooo much to help me please.
    Kind regards

Actually I was using backup to drop box. But I like to copy up backup to local machine so I dried to delete backup to drop box and wanted to install back up wordpress. I though only backupwordpress asked me to fill in above mentioned server info, but actually to delete backup to dropbox also asked me to fill in those information. So I wasn’t able to delete backup to dropbox and neither to install backupwordpress. this is my website: https://www.perfectlabelslanyards.co.uk
it is pro executive + genesis theme for business, I do not like this theme,it has used up 5 MB space, and there is no big pictures file on my website. I don’t understand why it used so much space. This was the main reason I was forced to move from share platform to VPS. Now, it looks like it causen another issue for me to change backup plugin.
I want to back up database and file before I change to new theme which will be customizr 2013 theme.
Can anyone be kind to help me please.
    Kind regards

Thanks. I have just created my child theme today, so it is an empty data child theme. Can I just copy the footer.php from parent theme and then remove the bit as you mentioned. And save this revised footer.php, and copy & drag this saved revised footer.php to my child theme. Will this work ? thank you. kind regards, Claire

Thanks. I have sorted out the child theme file just now. And I have updated the parent theme. Feel relieved that I know how to do this now. Thank you so much for the help. Have a good day there.

Thanks for your reply. I do have access to my VPS folders via FileZilla.I have managed to create a folder named mytwentyfourteenchild, next to twentyforuteen (httpdoc/wp-content/theme/twentyfourteen). And created another file called style.css in mytwentyfourteenchild folder. I then copy the style.css from twentyfourteen, draged it to desktop. and used notepad to delete all content and post wp child code. and replaced my http url twice on this code and change my name as auther. then save. then draged this file back to mytwentyfourteenchild/style.css.
I can see the problme is that I do not have edit access direction to this style.css file. I think I am going to update the parent theme now. and then I will re customized the colour, it will only take me one hour to do so. Struggling with child theme has taken me one week. Silly me. Please ensure updating parent theme will not lost my pages, posts and menu? it only take away the colour i customized, am i right ? thanks and kind regards, Claire

Thank you for getting back. Actually I was struggling with my twenty fourteen child theme set-up for one whole week already. I had this website built four weeks ago. In order to speed up WordPress website downloading, I moved from shared hosting to VPS. It is easier to do this child theme on C-panel, but not on VPS which is a bit sensitive in connecting and editing. I have watched and tried few youtube tutorials, but none of them achieved to get my child theme created, always failed. The main thing failed was that I don’t seem to be able to edit FTP file. . I removed and re installed FileZilla few times and tried again by following the steps showed on few youtube tutorials, but still failed. My VPS hosting said nothing wrong with my FTP file, I can access to this file. I noted that WordPress has a one-click child them plugin. Do you think this might help me to get child theme created ? Thanks and kind regards, Claire
