thank you for your reply.
So, as far as I understood, you are telling me that the featured image must always be larger than a certain size so to fill the whole content area. And, consequently, if I have a smaller image I cannot display it centered, but left aligned in the content area. Aren’t you?
Is there no chance to align the div of the wp-post-image?

I understand that lot of people prefer to have the name directly into the image, but why to cut out that functionality?
I would suggest to keep both possibilities with an option to enable just one; or, alternatively:

• if the “item-name” is filled, then use that name at default position
• if the “item-name” is empty, then the name is (of course) not displayed and the name is the one in the image

What do you think?
