Under Settings -> WordPress Address (URL), my domain name had mixed capitalization. Once I changed it to all lower-case, it started working.

What irks me is that I’ve had this problem for months now. My blog worked great with my iPhone….

I solved the issue for me. I found that it WAS NOT A PLUG-IN. It took me forever to recreate this issue on a test site I installed. I added items that are in my site, piece by piece to see if I could duplicate this issue.

It turns out this started happening as soon as my .htaccess was edited to include the following…

AuthType Basic
AuthName “Member Login”
AuthUserFile /home/content/c/l/i/******/.passwords
AuthGroupFile /home/content/c/l/i/******/.groups

require valid-user
#require group 1

If I remove that code, my automatic enclosures start working again. Now to see if I can find a solution to this as I still want my feed password protected!

I’m having the same exact issue.

I’m not sure which one did it, but after I activated these two plug-ins….

1- Breadcrumb Navigation XT
2- Configurable Tag Cloud

WordPress simply quick automatically generating my mp3 file enclosures.

Is there any chance someone can tell us how to fix this?

I’m a long time wordpress user. I’ve been through more than 10 worpress installs. Just recently I had someone install the latest version on a new church site I’m doing a podcast for. I’m having the same issue posted in this message.

It seems as though this is is not our server side info, but instead since mulitiple people are having this issue that it is something on the wordpress end of things..

Any help woul be appreciated.

But it’s never done this before. That’s what is so odd. I’ve gone into the comments php file and put a note above the submit button that says that it may take between 20 to 40 seconds for the comment to post….

Hopefully this will help people get their comments posted to my blog.

BTW… Yes, I had changed a lot of settings in options/discussion since this started happening. Trying to fool around with everything to get this to work. The one thing that I unchecked overnight was the blacklist button at the bottom. So today, I see that it posts and I went back and checked that option again and it posts with it checked now too.

So now I’m back to my original option settings before I started having this problem. Now it does seem to work…

Comments were not going to moderation yesterday. Well 1 out of 20 would make it, the rest simply did not show up anywhere. The comments-post.php would simply time out. Today, it is actually refreshing and posting the page with the commment in moderation… HOWEVER… it’s taking 20 to 35 seconds to post.

With it taking about 35 seconds to refresh, is it not possible that some browsers will eventually time out still?
