In reply to: Widgets not working with the new version 4.0Hi James,
Wow thats weird, I downloaded a business hours plugin and went back to widgets to install it and none of the widgets will open again. The code is still in the wp-config.php file but not doing diddly squat. Any thoughts mate?

In reply to: Widgets not working with the new version 4.0Hi James,
I had this same issue since upgrading to the new wordpress version 4.0
I tried all plugin deactivation’s but nothing worked. I then tried adding your code – define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false);
This worked wonders and so my website is back to its good old usual self. Just wished I had taken your advice and added the code first.
Many thanks for the help James your a star !!

In reply to: remove trash option for usersThis is amazing thank you. I wonder if anyone has already found the id for this. I have downloaded firebug but to be honest it seems very confusing and difficult to understand with so many options. Thanks so much for this advise i will do my best to try and make it work thank you

In reply to: remove trash option for usersHi Brasofilo,
I tried your advice and set all restrictions for subscriber. This did similar tasks as with role scoper but with a few extra options which were useful.
I was able to remove the quick edit function however when you click to edit page there is still the option to trash the page and ultimately delete it. Also on the same page all the boxes sidebar control, portfolio category, custom settings and page linking and sub menu options on those specific pages are still their no matter what I try. Surely their is a way to remove these? Thanks for the help and fast reply

In reply to: Need to add pages password protected with edit functionsUpdate. OK I was hoping someone would have an answer to this topic but waiting 20 hours is difficult. I used role scoper plugin to resolve this.
Add user and set as subscriber. then in settings tick the user under pages in the roles tab and then select the page you want them to have access to. Different levels of permissions can be set by the user type. i.e author, editor etc etc… If you don’t want them adding posts to the entire site then set it as subscribers when creating the user.
Use WP hide dashboard so they can’t roam around the wordpress site.
Next problem
How to de activate the auto save option on their page too.
also need to find a way to remove the sidebar control option, portfolio categories option, custom settings option, page linking option and the sub navigation option. Also the option for them to trash and delete the page.
I will look for answer and update if i find any but would appreciate any help.
Remember this is for a page created for someone else to edit and not site wide. Thank youForum: Hacks
In reply to: remove trash option for usersHi, I’m looking to do a similare thing. I am using role scoper to allow one page edit rights to individual users. I want to creat a page for them to edit content only but not be allowed to trash the page. Also need to remove the sidebar control, portfolio category, custom settings and page linking and sub menu options on those specific pages. Does anyone know how this can be done. Using version 3.4.2
Thanks
