I tried unchecking the “Force From Name Replacement” option and it still uses the default email address instead of using the users email address

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shipping charges not updatingI hadn’t realised it was the postcode that determined postal charges, I thought it was the Country drop down. Has it always been the postcode?…Schoolboy error!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shipping charges not updatingThe calculator works on the cart page…it shows free for UK, £9.99 for Europe and rejects orders from rest of world. Problem is, all anyone has to do to get around this is go to checkout page and no postage is added no matter what the destination
I am running Woocommerce Version 4.2.0

In reply to: Hide div on click with javascript/jqueryStrange cos I am using Chrome too. You do see the “x” before clicking to close the banner don’t you?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Hide div on click with javascript/jqueryMost pop ups etc. have a little “x” in a circle on the top right corner used to close the pop up. Your browser window is closed with an “x” again usually top right of your browser. See a screenshot of it here https://i.imgsafe.org/ac902a34ab.jpg
When you click the “x” to close the banner…the “x” remains

In reply to: Hide div on click with javascript/jqueryI sorted it with this plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/itm-simple/
Banners at the botton of page (only appear on mobile) can now be closed/dismissed…I just need to find a way to make the (x) disappear too now ; )

In reply to: [SEO Auto Links] Update – Not working with WP 4.3.3Well I added the keywords, the associated url and saved but none of the links went in to any of my posts or pages.
I tried several other plugins and eventually found a very similar one that did word
Thanks anyway
It is kind of resolved. I have uninstalled All in one WP Security and I keep the database locked permanently, only unlocking it to make edits. The site hasn’t had any more unauthorised content but that’s not to say they aren’t still trying.
It’s not an ideal solution but it works. A good update for me would be if there was a way to lock the database from within the WP dashboard, that way I wouldn’t have to keep doing it through cpanel…not sure if that is even possible.
How do I shortcode all countries except UK? UK Slider show=”y” and then Slider 3 has all other countries listed with show=”y”? (see below)
[CBC country=”uk” show=”y” ][layerslider_vc id=”2″][/CBC]
[CBC country=”us,fr,es,tr,sg,” show=”y” ][layerslider_vc id=”3″][/CBC]Is there no easier way to say show everywhere but UK?
I guess that is the only way then.
Is there any documentation for the other shortcodes [ CBC_COUNTRY ] [ CBC_IP ] [ CBC_CODE ] ?

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Contact Form 7 not sending (tho it says "Successful")Yes, I have it working now. I did 2 things, one was to contact my web host and tell them of the issues I was experiencing. They did a server upgrade last week and I thought this could have affected it. Their response was:
The issue was occurring due the mail server IP blocked on Hotmail hence the mails are rejecting there. I have switched the mail server IP to another IP and confirmed that the mails sending without any issue.
I don’t think this was the issue though because I tested it on several email addresses, only one of which was a hotmail address.
The second thing I tried was to roll Contact Form 7 back to an earlier version. I uninstalled and deleted the installed version and then installed the version that came with the theme (v4.1.2). I think the new version may have conflicted with something in the theme I am using (WP Richer) but all seems fine now.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Contact Form 7 not sending (tho it says "Successful")“If CF7 says the email was sent and you haven’t received it, then your mail is not properly setup”
Is that the email account receiving? Cos Like I say I tried several different addresses. I even tried to send email via Outlook to make sure there wasn’t a problem with the account. Sent manually it gets through but sent through WP it just doesn’t arrive. Like I said, I also set up a new WordPress install, no other plugins, default theme, default settings on CF7 with just the email address swapped for mine and still not coming through…I’m baffled!

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Contact Form 7 not sending (tho it says "Successful")Yeh, first thing I thought was “Spam folder” and so I checked that first. I tried it on 3 different email addresses one of which was my hotmail. It’s like I send the email and it just gets lost in the ether! Could it be something to do with my web host? What does CF7 use to send the email? Is it phpmail? Could that be a good place to start the search?
